我侄女考過, 我唔知佢學校有無UKCAT preparation course.
10月報要ready埋UKCAT, IELTS 可以遲啲比, 但我建議最好有埋IELTS.

我的意思不是向錢看，之前有其他討論關於在英國讀醫科的困難，如實習，是否持有英國護照等，你可以搜尋一下作參考

鍾意歸鍾意，都要考慮將來工作，因為醫科唔同其他文科，本身出路已經係 cut off 左好多 pathways，唔做醫生冇咩其他選擇。冇居留權，係英國好難搵實習。返裡香港考果個試，好多人都 pass 唔到。要諗清楚。

個執業試合格率, 以前好低, 而家高好多, 2014年有40%(數據好似有問題）, 都唔算低, 之後應該會再高啲. 聽講英國畢業生平均合格率仲高, 國內畢業的較低..

但如果唔係計劃留英，真係唔值得以Dse 成績去英國讀醫，然後返香港考牌執業，費時失事，等考牌期間壓力好大

我都不嬲主張揀科應該緊興趣，尤其第一個degree. 但係醫科真係唔同，絕少人會唔係學以致用。

For those overseas-trained
doctors who wished their specialist status to be recognized in Hong Kong,
they had to be certified by HKAM to have training and qualification
comparable to that required of an HKAM Fellow in the relevant specialty.
Director (Cluster Service), HA ("D(CS), HA") supplemented that with the
arrangements to increase the frequency of the Licensing Examination from
once to twice a year and to allow candidates to further attempt any part of
the Licensing Examination, the passing rate of the Licensing Examination
had increased from about 20% (i.e. about 20 candidates) in the past to 30%
to 40% (i.e. about 60 candidates) in 2014 [???].

Thanks, 2015年40個，即31%，是指31%参加part III 考試合格比例(40/128), 如用参加Part I 總人數297人計，最後得40人，即只有13.5% (假設考完part I 再去考II and III)

海外執業試一年得兩次

共要考三部分, 首兩部分合格, 才可參加第三部分臨床試

英國受訓的醫生, 在第二部分的英語試, 當合格率100%, 但第一部分的專業試, 就算當50%合格, 已經好高, 仍有一半人可能第二年才能重考

終於首兩部分都合格, 第三部分有名額限制, 若抽不到或考不到, 又等一年

執業試要五年內完成

待三部分終於都合格, 還要至少半年實習.......才可正式執業

應付海外執業試, 少則一兩年, 隨時三四年,期間個海外醫生做咩好呢?

英國回港？升學無疆界有一集介紹國內大學讀医(好似汕頭大學)，英語授課，校方話畢業生考海外執業試合格%高，實際數字或地區無講

其實風險真唔少，2011年起考生人數過200/300，是否只因國內人考，還是多了港人從海外畢業，最壞打5年都考唔到下一步如何，真要想清楚。

再睇番part II英語部分合格率好高，似乎這部分不太難，但考part II人數相對少，不知什麼原因，或者容易過，大部分考一次ok

I believe the most important thing for you now is to clarify (or confirm) whether if a medical student who dioes NOT have British passport can get internship (houseman) place or at least have an idea of the chance of getting an internship place e.g. 20% or higher? coz if your son cannot get in internship , he cannot get registered in UK, then it would NOT be possible for him to even apply for the Licentiate exam in HK (coz the applicant has to be a registered doctor abroad).

UK internship prioritises UK local students, but then still UK local students find it difficult to obtain the internship, not to mention overseas. First priority is UK local students, then EU students, then overseas. By the time overseas students get to choose, the popular departments will be full. The chance of getting an internship for HK students is very likely less than 1/3.
