Seems quite some on reserved list for KJS and SJS. Not sure how it is compare to last year.
Anyone can share?

If u are have no priority, no chance for kjs sjs

A lot of us in Esf kinder, only fall into reserve list

You can treat it as waiting list

According to the ESF website:

Parents may receive one of the following interview status notification letters:
“- Invitation to interview with guaranteed place if successful; or
- Invitation to interview with reserve wait list place if successful; or
- Confirmation of wait listing for possible future interview opportunity.”

SJS wavies the interview requirement, does it mean that those who got the "guaranteed place offer" will get in right away? No one would fail?

I don't think the interview was waived. The interview will be done in kindergarten and the current teacher can comment on students' daily performance. I can only say, the result will be no surprise for all parties. For those students really up to standard in terms of Eng, even they are shy, it is easier for them to get offer (compared to previous years). For those students with poor English standard, I believe school teacher will give fair comments.

Yes, it would be relatively easier I guess especially for shy kids.

Seems a lot of Esf kinder kids are on reserved list for sjs and kjs. As of last year experience, the last one on reserved list was offered a place to KJS in Aug after term started. So there is always hope, but only now we don’t know how many on reserved list.

For SJS, it will be harder for this year rather than last year, as WKS campus has 8 classes K2 instead of 6 classes K2 the year before.

Reserved list has a very high chance, but must pass the interview.

We applied QBS last year.  Information from parents who attended the talk (for those who had a chance for interview), QBS has around 12x seats for Yr 1, and they invited only 150 kids for interview including reserved list.

We did not have an interview at all.  But I check with QBS regularly on our waitlist position.  We were #100 before summer and now #50 after the summer vacation when the school semester started… meaning that all successful candidates on the reserved list were eventually accepted.

So, good luck to all parents who got a reserved list.  And good luck to myself as well... continue queuing … XD

Does it mean that QBS had issued 120 Interview offers for guaranteed places (since they only have 120 year 1 places) and 30 interview offers for reserved places last year?

So if anyone on the guaranteed places did not pass the assessment or eventually didn’t take the offer, will they then look at those who passed in the reserve list? Is there any order of priority in the reserve list (other than the order of lucky draw number?) thanks!

First question: Yes (based on my understanding)

2nd questions: they give offer according to random number (lucky draw) but first you must pass the interview.

many on reserved list who pass the interview will get in eventually.

Reserved list for Bradbury should have very high chance getting a seat eventually.

Last year, QBS actually ask waiting list parent is they are interest to attend Bradbury.

Yes, Non-Esf Kinder children better apply Kennedy or Peak school, but of course u need to check your catchments
