我知比較多普通話教，都 ...

ESF 收的並非債券，是一筆過的 levy ，比起其他學校數目算小。
國際學校的確教簡體多，只有三兩間教繁體，
但主要也是教普通話，印象中冇乜邊間教廣東話。

YMCA是繁體，KCIS都好像是

YMCA 中文有兩個stream, 深個stream跟本地課程，另外再分細group上堂！

Kcis 每日一小學普通話課，都係用本地課本但係比本地學校中文科教簡單一些。國語底唔好都難跟上。因為佢地中文一致同仁冇分低初中級。如果你國語唔好老師未必會就你。

How about the kid's English level? Guess if he/she is transferring to Year 3 (local P.2), the peers may be quite advanced in reading. Once he/she enters IS, learning Chinese may become a lower priority in the kid's life...

They have school bus but you have to check bus route & fee. They're located in Tin Hau, Hong Kong side. According to website, accepting applications NOW, and first round until Oct 31.

May be you should separate your requirements.

(1) Find an international school that fits your budget, never mind how they teach Chinese, if at all.

(2) Use after school tuition classes for Chinese. 繁體 and 粵教中 should not be a problem.

If you want to find a school that satisfies all your requirements, it will be very difficult indeed.

I think “PTH not very good” shouldn’t be an big issue here. Because usually IS provides different levels of Chinese class. As in ESF their Chinese have 4 levels. Those who cannot speak Mandarin confidently will be put in Level 1 or 2.

中文冇分grade 係Kcis.好多IS中文有分level but Kcis 冇。我地係由k讀上去,所以小朋友普通話聽讀寫都冇問題

我覺得最大分別係收生方面, 國際學校有規定要收70%外國護照學生,只可以收不超過30%本地生.
私校冇限制,如果私校係行國際路線既話,基本上課程同國際學校冇分別,
(IGCSE+AL 或 IB) 多數都係用UK Curriculum, 有啲仲係一條龍.
我以前去過啲國際線私校參觀, 基本上老師和班主任都係外國人和台灣人.
學生有大部份都係華人,南亞,日韓和歐美. 同國際學校差不多
不過佢哋學校比較細, 最多25人一班.
我小朋友係KJS Year 1 佢哋一班都30人~

just call this morning, waiting list is 60+ for local kid, but the staff said PTH have 3 grade for kids, 1 for good PTH kids, 1 for not good enough and 1 for duno PTH kids( like foreigner ) ,Interview only test english n maths I will apply n wait !

樓主唔好介意，你小朋友入yr3，只有幾年就升中，如經濟係緊，建議你都同時參考埋中學學費，小學到中學價錢跳升唔少，最好有個預算，睇埋直升可能，否則到時好難再轉番出嚟。

thanks for reply, yes we are P2 in local private girl school which is costs $4k + lots tutor class, way more than KCIS $7xxx...
agree that have to consider increase of the school fee every year, hope can get into IS then cut most of the tutor class except PTH ^^

Also , I’m not good enough to teach my kids homework but if a lot mistakes , it means next day u have double homework !!! , then can’t finished until late ! But IS , less homework n more time reading .

No, I don't know the schools mentioned here. But seeing questions around only cost and debenture, there may or may not be too little emphasis on other aspects of schools.

唔關名唔名校時，跟本是課珵和 mindset 的問題，都是換湯不換藥，有人覺得最後交到成績便可，但我覺得過程更重要。

其實一路都好鐘意IS , 但係人都知IS 返唔到轉頭，所以之前諗住試咗本地先，始終$$$試咗一年，見壓力大，填鴨所以諗住辛苦D都轉。
反正大個都會去外國讀書。

多謝提示，本身唔多上baby kingdom ，只係search 咗幾頁爬文，見到2014-2015 左右，怕唔update 所以再出post 問。唔知遊戲規則有得key word search post , 幸好有Jm pm 告訴我。
另外，依家私小$4000，未計其他柴米油鹽。
見KCIS $76xx ，我補中文加埋根本無分別。
大個都會去外國讀書，所以國際學校適合啲。

版主official website post 左p1-6 都7950 不是76xx,你係0米睇左2年前版本？。還有今年已加價，10月已收8xxx.我建議你報校前問清楚所有野又或者去school tour 睇多幾間arm你budget 學校先報。BK 好多唔係某間學校用家，一面作出不公平負評。所以最好你自己親身约學校去睇同了解清楚。還有local school 幾名英文校都好，英文放面都同IS有差異。到時唔至PTH要補習。出面補IS英文費用更加貴

If Chinese is not a prerequisite of getting in, why you need to bother your child's standard is not good enough? I would only worry if the school is able to offer a good curriculum to help the child to advance further.

不需要債券比較有d抽象，反而你講下你預算，我地可以幫手計下。
好多學校其實都不用參加債券或資本証計劃，但他們可能每年都要付levy，或一次性預付十多年levy。
