There were some old discussions on this topic. Would like to get some updated comments on these 2 schools. If you get the choice, which one would you choose?
Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Actually, it really depends on your kid and yourself.
If your kid is academic wise, I think SIS can thrive. As it is more demanding in work load. If you are the parent needs things to be visualise and know very well what your kids learn. Then SIS fits better. As it is more structural. Language wise, I think SIS is stronger, both can achieve native level.
For me, if I have the choice I will choose VSA, is becos I think my kid is not that academic wise, he likes to ask questions. I think IB fits him better, as IB let kids to explore and find the answer by himself. Also less school work. As I'm such a person very easy to get tense, don't want to get stressed by school work. VSA is taught traditional Chinese is a plus to me.
Actually both are good school! If you have offer for both school, Congrats!

This is the most sensible way to pick a school, rather than just asking if A is better than B and vice Versa.

Thanks Jmachi.
How about discipline? I heard SIS is strict and the students hv discipline. How about VSA?
Do you know after VSA primary, which secondary will the students go to?

Hi, are you an SIS parent? And what did you mean by "academically wise" - meaning the kid is strong in academics? At the entry level, the kid is only 4 years old... how can we tell if the kid is strong in academics? thanks

yes, academic wise is academic strong. I'm not SIS parents, we got offered but ends up I picked a more relax international school. As my son is not academic strong. How to tell, actually it is true very hard to see at this young age but seeing some of his classmate can write letters or able to read a few words in a book and he still not yet able. So I choose a more relax school.

Actually , there are some academically strong kids at 4 yr old of age. They can perform 2 digit summation, start to read on their own. 我真係見過. But not mine.

So you don't have offer for VSA. Is like a gamble. As it is very very competitive to get a place at VSA these days.
