Hi there - does anyone know whether CIS has any preference for graduates from certain kindergartens? if so, what these kindergartens are? would they prefer children from ESF or bilingual kindergartens like Victoria? grateful if any CIS parents may share. Many thanks!

My feeling is they like bilingual kinder e.g. Victoria, think, but some ESF and Anfield kids also get admitted ( both spoke mandarin at home.) Seems they tested for English and mandarin during interview.

Thanks for the helpful info! I was wondering if they will test the children's mandarin ....seems it will be a plus for being able to speak mandarin.

另外暫時reception 未聽過有人純local kinder考入（Victoria例外），高年級y7 y10又會多位，因多人出國及yr7多一班，yr10會有人避走墇州之旅。到時會多左local school插入因爲有讀開中文，IS圍內拔尖反而會去GSIS多。

I see - thanks! Very helpful to know. Would you happen to know what types of kids CIS look for in the reception year? Are they looking for disciplined/academic types?

其實都是喜歡大B，成熟D，chatty, CIS對母語是中文/English 有比例上規定，要fit番入佢地個profile, 之前我見呢道有不少人有offer, 希望佢地也發表下意見。
