以我仔的経歴, 小學的數学比local school 教得冇咁有系統。但老師教得比較仔細(唔係教得多), 着重小朋友理解多过要小朋友計得快、多。

要不要補習, 就視乎家長要求。(我冇安排個仔補習)

我不打算補，我相信學校老師已教得好，中文/數學也想自己教，除非佢吾聽我教。

我見有人補也有人冇補。
有 D 好叻都補，又有 D 好水皮都唔補。
自己決定啦，但唔好聽 D 人亂 up ，根本唔係咁多人補。

如你對中文有小小要求, 又或費事自己跟, 我覺得不妨補. 如你諗住同鬼仔一齊年年都學差不多的 (因年年都有插班生, 所以不能期望每年會學太多), 咁補唔補真係冇所謂. 又或好似我件咁, 中文都夠水, 比鬼仔高一班咋, 但佢又唔多聽我教, 咁我咪要搵人同佢跟下功課, 費事大家嘈交.

至於其他科, 我覺得睇小朋友. 一般都唔洗, 不過數學嘛, 舊年老師開到聲話佢唔掂, 我教佢比練習佢佢又唔聽又唔做, 最後都係踢左佢去補, 唔想大家傷感情. 唔係老師唔盡責, 但如一個小朋友背成數表背左2年幾都唔掂, 根本就係冇心做 (佢好憎數), 我上網print哂 exercise比佢都唔做, 最後只好靠外來壓力.

所以補習真係睇你需要, 唔需要妖魔化佢. 我以前都除左中文, 原則都係盡量唔補, 唔係做物讀國際學校? 跟住發覺每個小朋友所需不同, 你到時睇睇先決定.

It depends on the capability of the student. For Mathematics, it is quite easy & simple compared with local standard. However, some teachers in foreign schools do not teach very well. In this case, private tuition may be needed. Please let your kid try before think about tuition. It is premature to draw any conclusion at present.

If you have trust in the IS system, after-school tuition is usually not necessary as the vast majority of students can keep good pace with the curriculum. Teachers generally keep close watch of the students' learning progress and they will alert parents if they notice any lag behind.

However, there are always ambitious parents wanting their children to be more competitive against others and after-school tuition may be common among them.

So whether to arrange after-school tuition for your child, it really depends on how much confidence do you have in the school and your child, your child's ability and your own expectation.
