"I will be free next Friday" - Wrong. "I am free next Friday" - Correct.

如果人哋問我下個星期邊—日得閑，我會答I will be free next Friday.
如果人哋問: Are you free next Friday? 我會答:I am free next Friday.

你的問題應該不會只得單獨一句句子，有上文下理吧？

應該有上文下理吧

不過 I will be free next Friday 聽落似講你依家好忙，有野纏身，到下禮拜五先解脫。例如你考試考埋星期四，你可以同朋友講：I will be free next Friday，下個禮拜五大解脫。

I am free next Friday，就係人地問你幾時得閒，下個禮拜五你得閒可以去玩。

不過依家好少外國人會講「I am free」，多數講 I am available。

available has a different meaning. do you know what is MBA? No, not an academic qualification.

我依家係英國聽 “available” 多過 “free”，甚至用 “I am okay”／“I can do”。當然我都知 “free” 同 “available” 有唔同。
不過我留英時間唔多，見嘅人主要都係大學裡面，我地商量出來行街、見面、開會都係講 “available”，少講 “free”，出面其他地方可能有唔同表達方法。

我同意。兩個字意思相近但有微妙分別。唔駛講到MBA呢Ｄ。I am free but not available。我有時間，但唔一定要應酬你

不過，平常確實係講available多既。

True, the subtle difference is easy to see.

Not sure I am free or I am available is more popular among native speakers but if I can say "I am free" I would not say "I am available" as the latter has 3 more syllables.

至少我係英國無論係學生同埋導師、教授都有好多「唔洗上堂」嘅時間，但係 free time 好多人會攞黎備課、出去旅遊、兼職等等。我有少少覺得如果寫／講 “I am free” 好怪，感覺就好似遊手好閒、要搵野做，同埋一講 free 就代表果段你可以完全浪費，近乎零機會成本。
至少我同班英國朋友約下次見面傾野、做 project、行街都好少用 “free‘ 呢隻字。不過我就唔知大學以外情況點。
不過如果講 “I am free” 都冇問題，朋友明咪得
