2 Feb need to reply for the acceptance, 14 Feb is the registration which need to pay the deposit on that day as well.

If withdrawal 14 days before the school start, only 10k will be charged. other will be refund. If less than 14 days before school start, 23k will be charged, other will refund.

hi my daughter got offer of SIS, but I am not sure whether we shall transfer her from Victoria. What's your concern? I heard SIS is more push and lots of kids are transferred to other IS in high grade because of the pressure.

As a parent with 3 kids studying in SIS primary, my advice is you should let your child come if they are of high calibre/potential....because SIS can help promote their standard to a higher level in a loving/happy way....and true it is that some kids may find the curriculum somewhat demanding since higher primary, e.g. P4, especially in Science and English.

Given your children were screened in because of their ability, not their nationality, I think they are able to thrive and do well in SIS.

I have the same concern 2 yrs ago. And now I found no problem at all, even they learn simplify Chinese at school, they still can read all the road signs, menu, newspaper headline in their daily life.

No, I didn't give them extra traditional Chinese course, only simplified Chinese course, 1 hour a week.
They love Simplified Chinese, cause their Chinese name has lots of strokes (emoji)

In PY2, there are 22 students in a class and there are 6 classes. In primary 1, there are 25 students in each class with 6 classes. Which means they will take additional 18 students. Of cos if some students not continue with P1, they will offer the place as well.

My advice is, the younger the kids change school, the easier they can adapt to the new environment....
True it is that SIS provides excellent environment/means to equip kids with strong foundation in English, Chinese, Maths & Science etc, but be prepared to face challenges in the level of difficulty, esp. in Chinese... but again, the earlier you come, the easier the adaptation would be...

SIS releases offers by batches. Some seats are reserved for Singaporean kids who come to HK between the interview days (January) and the beginning of a school term (August).

Don't forget the main aim of SIS in HK, basically, is to serve the needs of Singapore's own citizens in HK. The families may come to HK for job opportunities of the parents. The timing of their coming, of cos, is quite random/sporadic. Therefore, such practice is to protect the own rights/benefits of their citizens. After all, Singapore government is like a 'parent' to their citizens, which we HK ppl cannot feel the same from our HK Government, esp. the present one...haha

yes, they would release a few in different months, batch by batch, from April till August. No one knows exactly how many seats would be released in this period, but from past experience, letters of offer would be received by successful candidates from April till the beginning of academic year in August.

PY2 is all about happy schooling... very few homework / tests, but kids' foundation in English, Chinese/ PTH would be built up by the day.
