We are thinking to send our children to UK State Boarding at Year 7, can anyone advice which school is more appropriate.

兩間舊post 有，先hockerill近London ,交通方便，有IB和GCE.另一間W是comprehensive/Technology school,好似最大state school,有樂器班，愛丁堡及CCF，宿舍有護士，但較遠

Academically and location wise Hockerill is better. Wymondham has a larger no of boarders so has more weekend activities; Told by its ex-headmaster that it's has quite a no of Hong Kong Chinese compared to other State Boarding Schools; Also Spoke to a Wymondham mum last year, she is happy with the school and is sending another child there this September.
If you are looking for Co Ed, you may want to explore Holyport College as well which only established 2/3 years' ago by the Governor board of Eton College. Eton college provides lots of support to Holyport and It's headmaster is the ex-head master of Wymondham.

Hi. Think about other UK state grammar school-Skegness Grammar School, Lincolnshire.

Wymondham may not be a grammar school. Check http://stateboarding.org.uk/

This state boarding school is average among 38 state schools and this school is a genuine grammar school which is a selective school.

My son is studying Year 11 and he stays in Hall. I've been Skegness this summer. Feel free to share with you about this school.

Agreed with Guardian that academically Hockerill is better. 我申請過、可是結果来得太遅、我個女没縁進入。　
ＨＯＬＹＰＯＲＴ我個女都有ＩＮＴＥＲＶＩＥＷ，即場ＡＬＲＥＡＤＹ　ＧＯＴ　ＡＤＭＩＴＴＥＤ．　我門也是冒着ＥＴＯＮ個名去的、学生数目太少了、同埋当ＨＯＵＳＥ　ｐａｒｅｎｔ帯我門参観宿舎時、竟然有個女学生穿着ｎｉｇｈｔ　ｇｏｗｎ行過、応該是剛ｈａｄ　ａ　ｓｈｏｗｅｒ．　但ｈｏｕｓｅ　ｐａｒｅｎｔ剛説完上課時間、学生是不準留低在宿舎的。　可能要多幾年、学生多点、才可上軌道。
致於ｗｙｍｏｎｄｈａｍ香港学生数目、不知多少為之多？　有香港学生是有好処的、完全没有就太孤立了。
