Depends which grade.

Prep - no homework
G1 - reading at home (10-15 minutes/day), Chinese homework (not daily) - may distribute homework on Monday and hand in on Friday.

CAIS follows the Canadian Alberta system, not IB.

CAIS mentioned to media they were considering to roll out IB curriculum after expansion in new campus in coming years. That's probably why they are hiring new head of school with IB experience as a plus.
