Just curious you prefer Vic more than St cat ? May I know the reason ?

In my opinion, most good kindergartens have more or less the same teachers and the concepts are more or less the same too. What I care about the most is how comprehensive their school textbooks and workbooks and resources are. I don't want to spend too much time or money to 外補 so I can rely mostly on the schools instead of me working too hard in teaching them.

I actually visited the schools or called the schools to compare their teaching materials. What I find out is Victoria is very comprehensive and they use a wide range of teaching materials. The next is SC and CPSK. They are about 85% the same. however, I love it how CPSK has easy level and challenging level depending on the child's level. kids in K1 can learn harder materials if they are good enough.

The last and most disappointing school is True Light! The textbooks that they are using is what SC is using for their Nursery class. They don't even have Phonics for k1 and they have not decided which phonics system to use yet when their schools is starting in just a few months. Their Chinese books are at least one level lower than SC. true light is way tooooooo easy comparing to the other schools maybe because they are through train?!
In conclusion I would rate Vic, SC & CPSK, true light is not even in my consideration!
I don't think TL kindergarten kids can excel over the 3 years comparing to some other kindergartens!

Oh great to see such a in depth research and comparison on the school materials. you are a great parent!

How about LH ? I have glance to hv a look on its Self published teaching material ,it's very nice too. Compare with Vic one , it's even more impressive !
But Vic language is really excellent and kids are very confident and smart !

I didn't apply to LH so I don't have a chance to compare. However, for reading level, the books that Victoria distributed are quite good. It's not just materials on English but also they incorporated science and general ideas inside too. I think Vic, SC and CPSK is around the same. However, True Light is at least 2 levels down. I think if they don't go into TL primary, quite hard for them to do well on other primary schools interviews as their academic isn't strong enough!
I don't think I am that good because I want the schools to do most of the job and I want the schools to be responsible of their education instead of me working so hard to become a "tiger" mother!
