請問大家有無用家知道interview考乜？小朋友剛兩歲，未識講嘢，有乜可以幫到佢同點樣應付考試？謝謝幫忙！

ESF kindergarden interview is called 'play visit', they don't test you or the kid anything! Theres nothing you can prepare to "應付考試"- because it isn't one!!!

They want to see how the parent interact with the child and the child's language ability (listening/speaking). Even if your child speaks very little, as long as he/she can understand what you are saying, it should be ok.

they didn't say anything just ask me go to interview on that day... if didn't go by non acceptable reason than will be directly withdraw

Heard the first round interview will be given to those have siblings priority. Not sure if this is true.

I think is base on the date of apply, I apply on 1st Oct, so I think there is a relate. for my daughter, she apply almost deadline in Y1 section, and she is in waiting list! (emoji)(emoji)(emoji)

Your observation is misleading, the chance of a playvisit in ESF has NEVER been based on the date of application. It's base on the assigned random number and priority.

You should understand the system a bit more (assuming you intend to send your kid there).

You can refer to the esf website for accurate information. I assume all parents would read it's admission policy before making application.

Of Esf takes my son I honestly don't know what to choose, to stay with Anfield or go to esf.....the reason I would choose esf kindy is purely for their primary

I applied Hillside but have not received invitation at the moment. The last email said we would receive notification regarding the interview status by email in mid December. I am waiting patiently.

WKS has sent out some play visit invitation already. But don't worry, they did mention that the play visit will be held from Dec 16 to Jan 17. So invitation might be sent out in various phrases

Yes for recent two years died the birth rate is lower. In the past not all get interview.

Yes for recent two years since the birth rate is lower. In the past not all get interview especially hillside and TY. Btw I started to hear some kids failed kinder interviews now. Maybe there are more applicants now and they became a bit more " selective".

Yeah I think at TY the vice principal said they have like 600 applicants and they only have 1xx spots?

They assess the ability in English with your child. The kids will engage in different kinds of play, there will be 4-5 assessors observing how they play. Then they will come to talk to the individual child and the parents. They will ask the child a few questions so I would suggest speaking in English with your child whilst you play with him/her at home. The assessor will also ask the parents questions. The chance is your child gets a better chance to get an offer if s/he responds.
