阿仔學校話因為GCSE 英文冇考speaking, 所以即使阿仔Eng Lang A, Eng Lit A*都要考番IELTS.

想問但係阿仔由幼稚園到去英國前都係讀國際學校，全部以英文為medium of teaching.如果能提交證明如成績表，係咪都不能豁免？

如果真係要考IELTS 報大學，應該幾時報？佢而家lower six. 佢話學校叫佢返香港考，而家幫佢報十二月返黎考趕得切嗎？用黎報2018入大學會否太早？

make sure you take UKVI ielts (academic) or just ielts. their price and venue is different.
you can check the availability at British Council website, there are some dates from both mid Dec to mid Jan.
if it's full, check idp

One more question. Is there individual exam module just for listening and speaking English? As my son said this is the only thing lacked in his iGCSE CIE results for UCAS application

IELTS 好似個個月都有得考, 英國都應該有得考. 如果自細讀開國際學校應該唔難, 最難係寫作, 最易係LISTENING. 我仔第一次考總分6.5, 第二次考7................. 寫作拉低總分

......... LISTENING第一次8, 第二次8.5.

IELTS 如果暑假,個個星期都有得考...我女7月時考左...佢香港讀傳統學校,去左英國1年都考到8.分, ..你個仔應該可以考到近滿分,唔駛擔心...不過我女可能lower 6 暑假時要再考...因為過期
咁點解我女Y10 暑假咁早考就當然有原因,本來有學校肯俾佢由Y10 直跳Y12 , 但要證明英文語文能力. 最後我女無轉校,不過橫掂都考左.我報sixth form 都有俾哩IELTS 成績學校

Please kindly share why your son did not take speaking for English? So that I can learn what to look out for as my son will take Eng Lang and Lit for GCSE.
