想問interview的時候學校知唔知？
學校有沒有資源或跟進去幫助小朋友？

We disclosed his condition in the application form. The school had the SEN ppl to assess him during the interview and accepted him.

There are support at school depending on his condition but most supports are at your own cost.

my son studies in international school since year 1 and now is year 3, the school has support for special need child that makes my son improve a lot and most importantly we found he really enjoys the school life.

You will find related information if you google "international schools in hk with SEN support". There are quite a few. ESF is amongst the most sought after ones but difficult to get a spot if you don't have priority.

Would you mind sharing how detail did you disclose the information to school ? E.g. How much delay in development, Etc. And do they ask for assessment report ? Thanks .

For my son's case I disclosed all information and submitted relevant assessment reports. He's a mild case and can fit in the mainstream class.

Having said that, for those schools which do not have SEN support, I'm not sure if disclosing information give you advantage. Some people said that some schools are not willing to take SEN students as the schools just don't have to resources to support SEN students.

So it all depends on the condition of the child and what schools you are applying for.

I came across a few of your previous posts and I don't think my son's school is a good reference. My son is in a mainstream class which offers no SEN support. But the teachers are caring and understanding. Depending on what your child's condition is and what you expect, most parents would want to look for a school with SEN support.

I did disclose my son's condition at application and he was only placed on the waiting list. We only got an offer at the last minute. If I had a choice I'd prefer ESF but my son didn't even get an opportunity for interview.
