Want to know about the teachers' standard. Do they teach simplified or traditional Chinese? How many hours of Chinese class per week? Discipline? Good or rough?

Another question about esf kindergarten pupils. What happens if the kid is not accepted in their esf primary school? Need to find a local kindergarten to study K3?

If you are not accepted by esf primary, you can still apply other IS.

There are plenty of new IS coming up, I think not that difficult to find a spot, especially if you live in Kowloon and NT.

The concern is almost all the new ones will ask for debentures of more than $ 1 million each

Students in Shatin Junior have 45mins mandarin class everyday. My son is Y1 student there and he can learn lots of mandarin words and count 1-100 in mandarin. The school also provides a platform for students to practice mandarin through the computer. Sometimes the teacher let them do some worksheets in the class.

Which pathway is your son in? Do u know how school allocates local students to pathway 2 and 3? In general what level of Chinese literacy can help children to get into pathway 3 ?
