i found this online. It said ICS is a private independent school and PISs serve primarily the demand for school places from local families seeking an alternative to public sector schools. PISs are required to ensure that at least 70% of the student population are Hong Kong Permanent Residents.

is this only applicable to primary and secondary, not kinder?

I think KG are only 'private' and 'non-profit'
You can confirm it with school.

But as ~ 90% of KG will promote to P1, I guess school will consider PIS requirement in KG setting too.

so usually 90% of the students can go through to elementary, any reason for the rest 10% not? I dun think it is a good idea to ask the unfortunate parents on this piece of info

what kind of children are they looking for? English speaker and attentive to instructions

they prefer extrovert? As long as attentive to instruction character should not be an issue

do they prefer christian? They accept non christians but they are really Christian oriented and based. Let's see if it is cup of your tea

FYI, just phone admission office. the result will be a bit late instead of what they said 4 to 6 wks. the result will be post by end of jan for the interview day on nov 1

Havent ask them.

But from the info gathered from ek, they has already handled applicants born in march at the end of nov, ie nearly half of the total, and they started the interviews at the beginning of nov. seems they process relatively fast this year.

Maybe they want to release results of all batches at one go, as those interviewed at the end of nov were informed they will receive result at the end of jan too
