No matter which stream you choose, the kid has to be at the tip top at the end of a day. From there, you or your kid can choose which subject in that stream he/she is most capable of, and of course, his/her interest lies that the kid then follow. Should it be the law that you mentioned, then it is it, or there is something else. So, it is not what to do, it is rather how to do.

如狀元不論dse/IB,一定可入law,不過畢業不難(朋友孩子港大law講)但再上實習及考牌難。

The main point in the law industry in the recent years is not how to get in and graduate from LLB or get in and pass from PCLL , it is how to secure a job that rewards the effort in YEARS paid.

Is it because of the industry is now on downside ? Or too much supply from graduate ?

It has to be the supply reason. The argument is the legal fee was and still is all the time out of anyone's reach. The authority liked to apply the optimum effect with greater supply, in the hope that it would bring down the price but, to me, in vain.

You are right here. Some do suffer from being weak in Chinese as it has become court language at low hierarchy.

Yes, studyling law is one thing but practising as a lawyer needs Chinese, particularly now in Hong Kong.

"如果係外國讀law , 會唔會因為無network反而仲難揾野做?"

If you (and/or your family) have the network, it'll definitely help no matter your law degree is from HK or overseas.  If not, try to get into the best universities and come up with brilliant results.  Many city firms prefer applicants from top universities overseas.

In my view, it is who you are, rather than who you know or even who your sweet dad is. Wood floats, not the others.
