My son had the IQ test by using "Standard Binet 5th Edition" when he was in 3 years old. His full scale IQ is 130 . He is now 12 years old and studying in Grade 7 . His school requested him to have the IQ test again . As his English ability is much higher than in Chinese, so he strongly request to have the Test in English . Do anyone know any Clinical Psychologist will carry out the IQ test in English and what is the difference between Standard Binet 5th Edition and WISC iV?

只有WISC IV有香港參考值

I know not much about Standard Binet 5th Edition but you could contact CU Psy clinic to take the WISC IV international version. My son took it when he was 8 yrs old.

I have talked with the CP referred by thr school and will talked with the social worker about the test ! I have discussed with my son , he said he may try the one in Chinese. I just worry if he use Chinese to have the test , the result may not reflect his ability .

He is studying in a EMI school and majority of his dialogue is in English

建議用香港韋氏第四版，CP曽解釋，內容(context)有些與本地相關，而且測試之後的sampling comparison也是與香港社會作比較。
而國際版則是以西方社會作比較，context/culture也是如此，所以香港的孩子若做英文的韋氏第四版，要考慮文化差異。
