悭钱好過
其实讀得好都有得去外国交流
如子女想往外走你又负担到就去
留個位比有须要嘅學生讀

Hi, 我都有同樣問題, 究竟留番啲錢好還是留學好. 以下會點揀:
Monash University - Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) vs. CityU Architecture and Civil Engineering, 請問那個較好?

The two programs are in different fields, any reason?

Why not take PolyU physiotherapy as A1 ?

我個人對升學的選擇是:

英美一線大學 >> 本港三大 >> 英美二線大學 >> 本港大學 >> 英美加澳其他大學

PolyU 的課程實用，在本地僱主心中有一定地位及信心，就業應不是問題。省回來的錢可報讀海外碩士課程和海外交流用途。

反之，出外留學的得著不限於學歷和知識，人生悅歷和人際網絡都是考慮因素。朋友的兒子在英國三線大學識了個內地富二代獨女，他若在香港升學肯定沒有這些際遇。

我在女考dse前的選擇，去外國，賣樓供佢去讀，在香港讀，層樓留比佢，第時大左佢可以賣左去買過層要黎做首期/自己住，但結婚後如要住的話，一定要老公比多d家用當交租....比我

最後佢為左首期，好努力甘，夠分入到佢想入果科，大家happy

如果經濟許可，我一定俾個仔去外國。我妹妹中五去英國，回來後脱胎換骨，自信、獨立、英文好、更孝順、見識遊歷大增……人生青春光陰一去不再，能到外國留學，是全家修回來的福氣。

到了自己為人父母，那些年的青春歲月，有錢也找不來。

I gave my son two choices (not serious) similar to yours. (1) stay in hk then money saved can buy him a flat ; or (2) sent him overseas from grade 10 and no money left to him.

He chose going overseas. I told him that money spent is not a "gift", It is a loan and I have the right to call for loan repayment on demand anytime in future. Just don't want him to take everything from parents "for granted"

各人修維不同，不能一概已論吧。
我聽過也有負面的例子。

值得放棄CityU Architecture and Civil Engineering個學位去讀Monash University - Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)?

CityU Architecture and Civil Engineering is a department, what are you going to study (or major) in that department.

On architecture side, it only offer a top-up degree, so I believe you are not taking the architecture as degree.

On engineering side, their program are only having "Provisional accreditation" by the professional bodies.

Therefore for this reason, going to do Occupational therapy at Monash University would be a better choice.
