UBC 和 UoT也收了囝囝，但是讀一些他沒有深入接觸過的科目或普通有興趣的科目，Lancaster and Mel U 的 foundation 就有機會升讀囝囝心儀學科，應如何取捨，大家可否給点意見？

上述咁多間 U, 世界排名相差不遠, 首要是心儀及興趣科, 其次要考慮會否留在當地工作(有難易之分), 最後讀foundation 如果成績唔夠好, 未必可以入到心儀但又好熱門嘅科目。

除非係神級大學, 你將來有咗幾年工作經驗, 新僱主都唔多睇之前讀那間U, 反而十分在意你曾工作嘅公司名氣,實質工作內容及表現。

依家澳洲失業率高有5.8%, 如非專業科目未必咁易揾工及夠職業分數過移民局那一關。

What programs he is offered now?
He might want to try to apply to transfer to management with a good GPA in first year. Most first year programs are non program specific so students can still apply to transfer to other programs.
A quick look on the UT website shows that they require students to have calculus background. So he needs to catch up with Year One Calculus (should not be too bad since year one calculus is normally 50% repeating high school calculus). More, he also needs to make sure the classes he takes would match with a typical year one management student.

If working in Canada is a goal, choose a program with "co-op" option. That will mean work + study during the times in university. In any case, visa students are allowed to work during studies (with certain conditions). He should start working during his 4 years at university (at least may be during summer holidays).

比著我會選擇直接入U，讀Year1的同時修讀所要求的高數，然後申請轉讀心儀課程。能夠直接讀大一，無理由去讀基礎班。

Not necessarily.
Many universities offer co-op as an option. You can choose whether you do co-op when you apply for the program.

幾間大學的入學要求應該相差不遠，加國收得，英澳也應會收。可否先入讀英澳大學的普通學科，再伺機轉到心儀學科？無論如何都比退回基礎班再爭取容易。

The best is still that your son check out the details of these programs himself on the universities' websites.

In any case, I do think it is important he likes the country as well. If he prefers UK or Aus, go for those programs.

有得直入大一，㸃解要讀多年foundation?
入左大一之後再轉科是可以的，其間考返要求的pre-requisite，例如calculus之類。

過慮了。入到去第一年挑選一些擅長的科目，加上心儀課程要求的前提科目（例如微積分），爭取好成績，第二年轉入心儀課程，之後就自然而然了。

首先要睇吓學生嘅數學根底，在大學好多科目係假切你有 calculus底子去授課，亦未有校内課程教微積分，隨時要自修，學生要有心理準備。

阿仔數學一向麻麻，DSE只得2，Mel U foundation 1/2017才開始，這幾個月在港先學習一下，Lancaster foundation 10月開學，但將讀科目中學時也曾讀過，相信會較易掌握，用多点時間讀數希望可過關。另外想請問畢業後留在英國工作的機會是否也很微？

如果報讀 Undergraduate嘅 Marketing, Mangement 甚至 Finance 都應該唔多數計, 留英工作十分困難。
