My son has applied the Leys School 4 years ago and was given a place. Thus, we have studied a bit more about the school. In my opinion, the school is above-average in terms of academic results and school atmosphere. Not within the top schools group but still quite nice in general. The location is very good, in the city of Cambridge and not far away from London. People commented that the school is good at caring for international boarding students. Nonetheless, we finally did not take the offer as we took the offer from a better one.

I have not studied St Mary at Cambridge as mine is a boy. But it seems that the ranking is quite high when compared with the Leys School.

What are the other choices the agent offered to you?

是這樣的, 我兒子現在在 bedford school boys讀書, 我想把囡兒送英國year 7,
所以想考慮近哥哥點, 假期哥哥可以打的去探她, 或回港回校時亦可送送她,
有個照應。
agent 提供bishop's stortford college, 但我查地圖都不太近。
我以我提議 the leys school 及 st. mary, 因在cambrigdge裹可能會安全點,
但回覆the leys 排名很後, 不太好。
所以想請問大家是否認識這3間學校, 提供一下意見。謝謝!!

是的, 排名好後, 但我上校網見成績都不太差, 不知為什麼排名會排2xx多,
所以不知選不選此校

其實排名只係其中一項參考因素，英國幾千間中學，其實頭三百至五百都唔係差，最重要係適合自己孩子及家庭預算！

其實講得非常對，選擇英國私校一定不可只看排名，排名表其實很misleading! 講真名校如Harrow 或eton也不願再被列入排名表，那並不代表他們的academic 差了！至於leys school ,之前的解說非常清楚and spot on，st Mary 其實跟leys 都差不多academically speaking,只是一間是女校一間是男女校、個人認為st Mary 對外國學生更好一點但當然leys的學校位置非常方便。
