Still thinking about RC for my oldest boy, only currently in K1.
He is shy, an introvert and takes ages to warm up but underneath he really is a very sweet and playful child.
I would really like to find a caring primary school for him.
Although RC is on my short list, I'm worried that it is such a huge school, many students and big campus, that he will be "lost" amongst the rest of the students. I don't need special attention paid to him, but I'm looking for a warm and friendly school community that is encouraging and understanding of the quieter students.
What are the teachers like? Do children stay with the same class for the whole year? Do the children all know each other/play together? Do the teachers know each individual child?

RC是一所大校，學生也多，學校行政在這方面管理得不錯，中學小學的時間表略有不同，所以學生活動空間尚可。

Year one每班有class teacher 和一位EA, 但始終不是幼稚園，所以不要期望如K3的照顧；但老師都是好有經驗和熱誠，不擔心。

這校的家長均好nice, RAPT & parent helpers可以好投入，學校歡迎家長主動組織有規模的活動，由college fair, fruit day, scout, chess club 到swimming club均是家長主持，好利害。

We have an offer from Creative kindergarten (leading to Creative primary school) and as it's also an IB school it seems to be more a choice between Chinese medium (Creative) or still try for English medium (RC). I've heard from parents already at Creative that the teachers there are very nurturing, and this is a big consideration for us.

Another issue is that we are still on the waiting for ESF kindergarten, and as he still has not been offered a place by now, he will not have priority for interview for any ESF primary/RC.

啟思是本地學校，我以為是中學才有IB選擇；RC是英基的私校，由Y1-13均是IB, 對孩子的培育是一個新嘗試。我仔從K1開始就接受IB教育，六年後IB畢業就可做一個全面的檢視。（是的，我把自己的教育理想賭在個仔身上）

在學校各人都有自己優點，但IB其中一個learner profile要求學生離開自己的comfort zone, 做個risk taker；文靜內向的，要給他機會表現、表達，活潑好動的，要學習靜思反省。愛音樂的也愛運動，愛數學的也愛閱讀。圍繞我仔身邊的同學都是如此。

Actually, Creative Primary school is also an IB candidate school and teaches the PYP but in Chinese. It is a private school, and charges fees very close to/same as IS. I would say it is definitely local, in terms of student composition but I have heard that it does try to follow and stay true to the IB philosophy. Chinese will be their first language and English (whilst given emphasis) will always be a second language (whilst in RC, the opposite will be true).

你可以call 學校問，睇吓有無miss 咗notice; 我記得開學前會有買校服等。
今年（16-17）開學日
8/8 Y12-13
9/8 Y1, Y7-11 new & returning students
10/8 All students

我是中學部家長啦！資料都在網上有的，不過new students 可主動聯絡學校，不用在forum問啊！
