My girl is currently studying in a local primary school with a 龍校 secondary school. We would like to apply for ESF admission.Given a reference letter from current school is an application requirement, we are struggling with how to fulfill this requirement without upsetting her current school. We are also afraid of landing ourselves into the situation of not getting offer from neither ESF nor her current school F1.
Any parents have advices / past experience to share?

Talk to the ESF school's admission, you may not have to submit it with the reasons you stated.
I didn't submit at the end and another friend of mine applied for Kennedy School didn't submit too, after explaining to the admission officer. My friend's daughter got the offer.

I think there are situations when it is okay to ask for reference from current school, e.g. moving house etc and that is why ESF asks for it if in case... But in your case obviously it is very unwise to ask your current school for it now. So I second beekay.

I had the same experience a few years back and I explained to ESF. They insisted that is required.

I didn't take the ESF route.

Thanks Shadeslayer. I gather in any case requesting a reference letter from current school is a very unwise move.
