說話又唔可以咁講,讀書又唔係比賽,無話輸唔輸,選學校最好配合家庭觀念,唔中2谷既家庭讀間谷學校會覺得好辛苦,中2谷既家庭讀間淺既學校又會話hea,我自己sc,朋友vic,不談學術,感覺家長群都好唔同

你去artsplus,應該都係希望入vic, vic 仲要係am, 好似吸引d

其實我會想想邊間會近屋企多d, 2間我認為都係好學校。但PN 小朋友仲好細, 如住港島, 返九龍會不會太遠。因為我都是artplus TST 家長, 我住太古, 我地一周返3日artplus TST 已經見小朋友返到屋企已很累, 但開始左就無計‧要是PN 日日返, 就更加需要考慮是否需要去到咁遠呢‧ 如果讀近d, 小朋友放學可以快d 返屋企午睡, 下午仲可以出去有時間參加一些附近興趣班玩下‧ 如果二間差唔多位置就真係睇下想要咩學屠環境了‧

Me! I gave up St Cat for Vic simply becoz I live in HK. Travel everyday to Hung Hom & KlnTong is a torture to both my boy n me!

my friend has one kid studying at st cat, and one kid studying at vict. she actually like vict more.

Hi five! I also chose Victoria.
My experience with St Cat was not good from the time we joined their Xmas playgroup and throughout the whole process of interviews.
The Xmas playgroup actually made me not want to put my child there ( maybe we were unlucky that the teachers were not good in our group). We still went for interview as we wanted to know more about the school but turned out making us more confirm that we didn't like the school. I just felt the teachers are not very caring...

Totally agree with you. i also went interview st cat with my elder son 3 yrs ago. i did not like the teachers there as feeling they have no heart.

so for my younger son this year, i did not apply st. cat interview to him.

In the first interview, the English teacher was not native, that's ok
In the second interview, the teacher interviewing us act just like an examiner! She just looked at her document and ask the questions one by one no matter what we said with no feedback at all. The other teacher playing with my child spoke Cantonese with strong mandarin accent , I am not sure she is putonghua teacher or Chinese teacher.

I think it is difficult to compare
Even certain numbers of students enter DBS or DGS for St Cat, some other students may not enter great schools
Given the large number of graduate
To me, I only concern about the teaching of the school rather than the Primary admission result
Many other factors determine the admission result, maybe many st cat parents are old boys or girls of elite school , no one know

There is an old thread comparing 2 schools though few years ago

I think Victoria is more international school way of teaching so the curriculum is easier and less homework
I have friends with children studying in both schools , I think this is the major difference
For language , St cat shared NET teacher among classes for K2
And my friend said that it is a norm most Parents in St Catherine arrange many ECA and tutorial classes for their children, maybe they need to make their children competitive among those St cat graduates to enter good school
See if u are that type of parents, otherwise we will be stressful

I just think entering primary is not the destiny , is it good for the child if his / her ability is not really high? And turn out to be super stressful for both the parents and children. That's what I think
I rather my child to be confident with good self esteem in a less famous school rather than being bottom in elite school.
