Box hill la, HKPS is for local school, joyful I am not sure.

The curriculum of Boxhill is international and the other two is local. Although joyful is running a local system, they are using 70% English and 30% mandarin in class, they have kids from expat family and some of their graduate will move to IS according to their website.

If you really decide to go for IS, I will pick box hill, I won't pick HKPS unless you are native English speaking family, the English exposure may not enough.

It may be difficult to get a place in IS primary now, please also consider ESF and through-train IS in addition to boxhill

Are you talking about Nursery or K1?

As ESF school does not have N class, Boxhill is absolutely a good choice for nursery.

Heard in the past that Boxhill (MOS) has a good primary destination ratio to RC. But not sure how it goes this year finally. So far from the school newsletter, it looks to be the same case, though there may still be some students on the waitlist.

You may consider to apply for K1 in ESF or other IS Kindergartens, and in case you can't get any offers, stay in Boxhill till K2 and apply for RC.

Any existing Boxhill K2 parents who can share more? I wish to know more too.....

The competition to IS primary school is keen. You may wish to consider kindergarten that have a primary school section. Try to see whether you like ESF and ICS.

Joyful is a really good school, class teacher is NET, my kid learn a lot from there, she is now in ESF kinder and will be going to ESF primary for year 1. Teachers in joyful are very caring.Their English environment is rather strong. It doesnt matter what the curriculum is, cuz it lasts for about 5 months before K1 interview.

Box Hill.
Many Box Hill Nursery students got offer from ESF kinder. If one failed to get into esf kinder unfortunately, staying in Box Hill almost guarantees an interview chance of RC in K2.

Last year, RC, Anfield, HKA, ESF (Beacon Hill) offered school interview for all applicants studying in Box Hill.

You can ask the principal. In Dec 2015 (she is referring to previous year figures), there were about 36 applicants for RC, finally 25 got accepted (no matter 1st round, or wait list than got offer finally). Another 5 got Anfield offer, a few of them got accepted in various IS.

Seems box hill and joyful are good. My advice is don't go to HKPS if you target IS, I know some people cannot make up the mind yet will think these kind of local schools are good for both IS/LS but in reality their chance for IS are lower, especially for the popular IS primaries.

I have no idea. Normally there are 4 k2 classes and only 1 k3 class in box hill mos. That means 3 classes left the school after k2. Apparently, not all of them get offer from IS, they may switch to other local kinder voluntarily.

Mrs King is always available to show you the figures. I believe she can tell u with solid information
