請問孩子立志要做動物保育工作, 除了獸醫外, 應該讀什麼科?
我在海外版也問了相同問題, 但也想知道, 如果留港讀大學, 應該讀什麼科?

Your child is amazing. What I know is there was B.Sc. Degree from the Department of Zoology in old time, but was merged with the other departments to form the current School of Biological Sciences in 2007. He/She may consider it as a path to aim the goal.

Meanwhile, there are kind of the related undergraducate programes that may help to be activists, or change makers in NGO, United Nations, and other government organisations, such as Political Science, Governmnet Law, Public Relations. And perhaps more.......

It needs passion and mission more than academic standing, any undergraduate degree or other relevant postgraduate degree related to planning, environmental, legal ...... need a lot of lobbying
Biology is preferable, not a must.

佢好喜歡睇動物片, 見到專家拯救動物佢就好感動. 佢成日問我點先可以做呢類工作, 我只肯定讀獸醫一定可以做呢類工作, 但香港無獸醫讀, 而去外國讀獸醫都非常高難度.

我有同佢講, 如果只係想照顧動物, 其實正職之外可以去一些機構做義工, 當然亦可以好似香港某些機構主力拯救流浪貓狗. 但如果係好專業果種全職保育動物, 除獸醫外我就唔知.

Above is for your reference. We have super Marine Science Centre in HK. They would coordinate visiting programe for secondary students sometimes. HKU staff and families would go there for bio-marine visit in holidays too.
