which campus. i went to Abacus, small group play visit.. 5 kids .. we stayed outdoor and the other 2 kids were indoor interviewed by the principal.. my son spoke cantonese to me once but he could speak and communicate with the teacher

Thanks all for sharing your experiences.

there are really a lot of families appeared, quite competitive I think.
The teachers mentioned that my son is quite young!
I think he did quite okay in his age. He didn't speak any Cantonese, his response to the teach is in English.

Of coz with all the competition out there, should have a lot of elder babies are doing far more better.

I was so surprised by my son today, non-stop talking in English, and well interaction with all the teachers in the classroom. He was so active which I never seen before

Mine is at the 2:15pm session at TY, I think it's less people than I expected, around 6-7kids a group! My girl is very shy when seeing the teachers who look a bit cool, no smile at all. Perhaps she is scared indeed. My girl speaks all English but in a very low voice, no cry is excellent already! Haha

7 is the maximum no. of families in one roomThat is quite okay coz their room is big enough to cater all the families.

forgot to share about one thing, another boy in our group always following us and getting our toys all the way through the interview...which we thought it was quite challenging for my baby.

WKS too, I think the offer is all by luck since no one knows the random number they assigned for u, even though you had the great performance in the interview.....

每個人都有個編號 (唔係application #), 而呢個編號會決定你priority, 越前越好。今年都仲有d 收到信話就算pass interview 都只會on waitlist, 呢d 唔好彩嘅就係派咗嗰大number. 更唔好彩就係見都無得見，不過今年好似唔聽到有，我上年有嗰friend 真係無得見！所以話考ESF 都要有d 運。

You won't know your number, the random number is assigned to you by luck, and that number represents your priority in admission

agree, as you have applied of coz you wanna have chance to be interviewed and let your baby get some experience.
Don't worry, many people may not take the offer after they considered with their K1 offers in hand.
Kids at the waiting list would have chance to get the spot too.

I am on wait list too but the staff told me they go through the wait list pretty quick cause someone may not even show up for interview and some drop the offer. So we still have hope!

The staff in charge of admission process (WKS) said the offer will be released after CYN (appx 1 week after CYN) ~~~Hope WKS will change their mind and send out the letter a bit earlier.

Read from other post, around 60-70 had priority interview in Dec.
As far as I know, there were at least 5 play-visit session on 22/Jan, 8:45, 9:30, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, around 50 kids per session. I have not been able to find out if there were other sessions held on 22/Jan.

If there were only 5 sessions, it's just 250 kids for over 100 spots. Chances are good if that is the case... But I don't have the full picture... (I wish I have)

Two years ago, my daughter went to their play visit, at that time,she didn't say any words during the whole journey, just played quietly by herself. Actually she was just two years old,and she couldn't speak any word until 18month. But she was accepted by one ESF kindergarten. Btw we had no priority at all.

I've been there too. Very crowded. Seems that my son doesn't like/ enjoy too much. He didn't react during the whole interview. No hope

So happy for you! I asked the teacher about our number and she say our number is low on the priority list....so I don't have high hopes anyway....
We will never exactly how the system works! A lot of luck is involved in securing a place at the ESF! Good luck everyone!!!

the email said there woild be a parent information event on 4/2 1630hrs.
