學校教得快和深，
是否難考入是見仁見智，普遍收大仔大女，而收女孩比收男孩多。小學部比例是boy : girl, 1:2

考到就讀，平常心。

中學前的孩子，無論在那間IS，總是十分快樂的。

老師和同學很好，法國人重視自由，怎會沒自由？功課比較深和多，大部份孩子會自己完成。

家長比較重視成績，見人補自己又去補，結果大部份有補習。

家長落力參與學校教學和活動，一呼百應，多了不少teacher assistants.

上年去過school visit, 當時問過每個Reception, Year1 applicants 都系300過左右. 間學校系一出世就可以報, 而且non-selective. 距地按申請日期一個個排落去,只要interview過了就收. 所以越早報越好

真係non-selective ? 好似interview 要考寫字

真的不大肯定怎樣定義「non selective」，只知道很多想入K1的孩子考不上。小女在P4插班，老師interview 一對一，writing and Maths 部份做了近三小時，如果考不上，他們會叫下一位在申請上waiting list 排頭位的孩子來考測，再fail, 再找下一位至達到標準為止。

我不是說要很優秀才被收錄，而是這樣的篩選，似乎不是non selective 掛？

如果沒變，學位是：

international class : 50 （2 classes)
bilingual class : 25 (1 class)
French class : 好似好多位

從前是300 個申請孩子一起考reception, 收50個。

現在改為逐個interview嗎？如果reception 男女比例依舊失衡，估計要過interview關，還是存在難度吧！

上次我去school tour既時候, 大概講過下interview標準, 距地系有記分的, 比如老師叫你去坐低, 你去坐低就有1分, 老師話拿筆畫畫, 你只要拿起支筆就有分, 至於你畫咩點畫距地唔care 跟住加起來過左分數就OK.
reception 男女比例失衡個校長講過法國政府規定距地唔可以揀學生, 無論班度幾多比例, 距都系按申請順序一個個interview,只要達標就收

In general toddler girls behave more mature, charm and capable that would get the tick easily during interview. Some young FIS boys find difficulties in handling school work in the class, they would leave for other more relaxed schools later.

FIS, 1st language English, 2nd language French, 3 rd language others.

I can't speak for all.  What I saw  in primary is:

French Stream (main stream)  - all French
Billigual Stream (1 class only)  - nearly 90% above French and Eurasian  (Chinese / French mixed blood)
International Stream (2 classes only) - 1/4 Chinese , 1/4 Eurasian, 1/4 Asian and Indian, 1/4 - British and European

The above is for reference only.  It may change now.

gender imbalance has been addressed in recent years. Now, on average 11-12 to 13-14 boys to girls per class.

RC 17/18 , 女兒11月細b,其實應該報year 16/17 ,不過，FIS 比我選擇做細b,或者明年做大b,最後決定做大b.

原來排17X,2年前買了債卷，依家waiting 排25，所以先有機會面試

不過，仲有2間學校收左阿女，所以考慮緊讀邊間

所以想問下其他媽媽的意見

Then where do you live maybe pick the closer one?Among these schools I will pick FIS cuz it got better academic record , good ethnic mix and learning French as a bonus. The downside to me is hard to keep up the Chinese level as it is the third language

but ICA is more caring and happy school, that's why so difficult to chose.

If you are comparing these two, I still opted for FIS because it got through train secondary school.

要排快隊只可買corporate debenture, 要早一年買。private 是收左先要比。

小朋友自己行入去，要兩2小時，主要是做番平時幼稚園做的活動，reception不太難pass, 主要做到基本要求,咁細不會考academic, 但pass了也要看排位（似乎跟番報名時間和有沒其他priority)。

Nono, 只係見唔多人讀kellet

因為人數少，多外國人，有位才叫人interview, 所以不多人有機會。但如果有interview機會也大。有朋友在讀，評價都很好，中文當然要另外教。

收到FIS Year 1 Hung Hum campus offer, 好快要決定, 個心1516。

Pros
- 英文水平高, 國生國籍多元化, 唔會大部分係香港/中國人
- 有法文, 小朋友自然學到一定程度法語
- 出年有新campus, 上網睇過真係好靚, 唔會分幾期, 一路讀一路起, 沙塵滾滾

Cons
- 唔洗講就係中文差, 唔想放棄就要放好多effort去補
- 爬文見到啲expat forum話學術水平唔夠其他IS如GSIS好
- 最擔心係有啲expat話中學啲校風麻麻, 學生無紀律, 食煙問題比其他IS嚴重, 唔洗著校服, 一出校門就食, 男女公然拖手鍚鍚

多外國人校風實開放少少，法國人是比較開明（放），咁仲有甚麼offer比較?

It depends on what other offers you have in hand and by when would you need to make decision as a few other IS will release result in next couple of weeks.

Jardine’s Lookout school hours are:

Monday 8.30am – 3.30pm

Tuesday 8.30am - 3.30pm

Wednesday 8.30am - 1.15pm

Thursday 8.30am - 3.30pm

Friday 8.30am - 1.15 pm

Well u r right. Actually I should not struggle coz I got only FIS offer so far. I'm on waitlist of CAIS also. This year CAIS asked people to pay 450K debenture with 15% withdrawal penalty so I guess some people would drop the offer earlier but I don't know how good is our chance. We are also waiting for ISF result which I don't feel confident coz my kid didn't do well on the final interview and the FIS payment is due soon anyway.

When will be the deadline and how much you need to pay to secure a spot now? Seems you got to pay now isn't it because you don't have other choice yet. I know many people still waiting for ESF result but they are releasing quite late, so they might need to pay too.

That's not too mad as deposits, my friend got an offer which needs him to pay 500k debenture now, and if withdraw in future 100k will be forfeited. He is still waiting for other offers and it's really a tough decision.

Yes initial cost of entering gsis is $670k

Guess GSIS only wants those will put it as first choice. And many people do have it as first choice. So fair deal or not is hard to say
