My son will attend the interview this Sat, any mama can share the interview details ie what will be asked, format.....anything we need to pay attention to
Our school refused to provide 'reference form', does it significantly affect our application : (?
Know that there will be a 400K ICN, do we have to pay upon acceptance of offer?

It will be a group interview which is different from long ago that was individual interview...
The school need the full set document include the reference form ,may be collected in later stage

In the last year, no interview for parent. All qualified applicants were invited for interview.

Yes it's competitive, esp for local passport holders.

yes, i think preparation is not needed. you may remind your kid to answer questions in full sentence, be polite, be confident... those are also considerated by school

i am not sure about the chance for waitlist kids.

i like the school because their class size is small, teachers are caring. They can almost finish the homeworks at school, and all homeworks are meaningful compare with some of the homeworks issued by local schools.

We are lucky to have an offer from wait list last year.

I really love the school, particularly the small class size and the transparency of the school. Teachers upload many pictures of the class each month. My kid's presentation skill has been improved a lot after attending the school.

There is bible lesson every day. It's good to develop kid's positive mindset. My son told me yesterday what he learnt from the bible lesson. He said everyone has "jealousy" in their heart....but we can't let the jealousy grow. Because when jealousy becomes bigger, love will become less. I was very happy to know that my son understand this. Big thanks to the teachers!

Small class size (1 teacher 1 TA ~20 students). Traditional Chinese. Show and tell monthly. Address discipline with rationale explained. Prep class in full day with in-school lunch. Class work / Homework finished in school. Reading programme, cope with diff reading level. Library class once a week. Daily reading time in class. Only English is allowed in school. Several recesses and snack time a day, facilitate socialisation and independent development

今日in 都係全部apply prep? 校長話總共有600or800人apply? 聽唔清楚

好似要入讀麗瑤一年先可以下年轉去蝴蝶谷新校，是嗎？
但呢個校舍地點好隔涉and較舊，返一年都有D 麻煩... 純粹個人意見，雖則收我小朋友機會極微

yes, 400 applications for Prep this year, 84 seats, 70/30 ratio for foreign passtport holder. My son ran to me after the interview saying he had a great time, he likes CAIS, not sure how they did it in only ~45m interview ... Saw that many kids speak gd english, seems like our chance is slim

Yamin, when's yr interview, Jan 2 or 9? We were Jan 9 am. Heard that there will be another session on Jan 30.

Yes, Mr Best said on the interview day that it's around 60%+ and close to 70% for foreign passport holders now.

I spoke with Admission Officier & she said the Reference Form is a must. She claimed it would be unfair to other applicants if we can't provide same but get admitted. I ask if I can submit after got the spot & she said the chance is slim.

ILOVEBEAN: our school submitted the reference form but they wont give any comments, and all teachers r not allowed to fill out the form for any students ...they said it's policy
Not sure how it affects us ...

學校未公佈今年新入讀學生幾時交 debenture

之前學校有開家長工作坊講及新校舍興建進度. 預算2017年9月會在新校舍上學.

如果你真心喜歡呢間學校，你不難從學校網頁中知道新校舍一事，至於麗瑤校舍，我個人唔覺得太舊到無興趣比小孩返。學校有school visit, 何不一早睇下，唔洗浪費了你的報名費、時間、什至可能阻了真正想入讀的小朋友。要揀校舍靚的，CAIS 暫不是你杯茶。

贊成, 學校2017~18年將有大校舍, 我反而有點不捨得現在麗瑤這間溫馨簡樸的小校舍。
