Any comments on the playgroup? Is it good? How about the class size and if it allows any priority for applying ESF kindergarten?

Thanks a lot!

As far as i know, priority for esf kinders only applicable for those who attend playgroup in abacus campus...besides, from esf website, priority is not applicable to k1 in abacus campus from next year
You can double check on their website.

Thanks a lot! Apart from the priority issue, do you know if their playgroup is good? I want to send my gal to an English playgroup. She is almost 2 and we speak Cantonese w her at home only.
I read their website and saw that the age range of each playgroup is 15m - 2.8 yrs.

There is no priority for ESF playgroup to kinder, even the teachers are different, if your really wish to join English playgroup, Anfield, Tutortime eg should be better if location is not a concern. If you lived close to TY anyway, then still not bad to join ESF playgroup.

Thanks! Do you think their age range is an issue? The gap seems to be quite big ( from 15m to 2.8 yrs old....)

It's easier for me to go to tsing Yi and that's why I'm considering the playgroup.

I believe there is absolutely no help in getting in the kindergarten and the teachers in playgroup are not the assessors in the interview. Esf runs many courses open to public. Of course if your child is very uneasy with new environment and may cry in interview, it may help a bit to make him or her familiar with the place.

From my experience in the kindergarten, I guess it would not be value for money. (my kid (and most others) stays in the kinder to obtain priority into esf primary school, not for the quaility of its teaching)
