亞仔y10要選科，請問大家要選幾多科？係米越多越好因為大学只睇你攞幾多A而唔睇你讀边科

gcse成績只作參考，A level時再洗牌，亞細話不如多參加課外活動，有加分，如愛丁堡計劃，或医院做義工

Being advised by one of the headmaster during our interview that student need to get min 5 A* in GCSEs to get into the top 25 / Russell Group universities the UK. UK Universities give out conditional offers prior to AL results are announced so good GCSE results definitely helps and he commented that 10GCSEs at good grades are sufficient.My son will be doing 11 GCSEs (one of them will be Chinese which in will take in Y9)

My son will be in Y9 when he goes to the UK coming Sep.

In my son's school, minimum 9 subjects while most take 10 or more.

My son took German and Chinese in year 9 already and now taking 10 in year 10-11, so totally he will have 12. I told him to skip drama and DT but he may not be able to get A/A* but he said most of his classmates take 10 so he does not want to cut down.

My daughter has to take at least 10 subjects plus Chinese (11). She loves languages n is taking Chinese french Spanish and German now. She wants to take all in igcse n I m still considering if it would be disadvantaged because less choices for other subjects ..

Sorry for the late reply.

He was in HK for year 9, it was his school's (German Swiss International) practice to have some students taking GCSE German and Chinese exams in Year 9, so the school enrolled them for the exams.

I would say around 7-10 subjects. If you are doing other exams then it will be very time consuming to do any more than 10 GCSE's. To apply for university you only need to demonstrate you are capable academically anyway, A-Levels are far more important

不是說gcse 很容易嗎？其實當要讀多過來7科，就會覺得越來越難。容易的中文科，理科已讀晒，剩下的就是外語，文科。要再讀落下就要好多時間。

I did 13 subjects once upon a time, since I did it full time it wasn't too bad. However, if you need to study for something else you may not have enough time
