Anyone who has information on this school? I read from this forum (back in 2006) that the feedback is not so positive.
I am looking for a school that focuses on English and Putonghua, and more English speaking children. From previous posting, seems like a lot of kids in 愉景灣聖公會偉倫小學 lives in Peng Chau and the student quality varies a lot.
Any comments from parents who have kids going to this school in recent years?

My son is studying at Weilun Primary School,my comments on the school are listed below,

Pupils:

1)
Mainly from Discovery Bay,Mui Wo and Ping Chau; around 20% from Tung Chung

2)
Most of them are from mid-class families, theirconduct and behaviour are good in general;

3)
Co-educated: more interactions between boys andgirls

4)
Multi-cultural and national: good language developmentenvironment for both Chinese and English.

Teachers:

1)
Two teachers (one Chinese and one English) at P1to cater for pupils speaking different languages;

2)
Teaching resources are above average whencompared with other government or subsidized schools;

3)
Extra-efforts are provided to help weak orlearning disabled pupils;

4)
Gifted education could be enhanced.

Parents:

Generally provide good supports to school

School:

1)
Christian,

2)
Small class education,

3)
Use Chinese as medium of instruction,

4)
Not much homework but with a lot of assessments,

5)
Happy learning in general,

6)
Many extra-curriculum activities,

7)
Beautiful campus with pleasant environment,

8)
Academic level is reasonable,

9)
Secondary school places allocated to Central andWestern district.

Thanks a lot for your sharing, as there's not much discussion on this school.
I am interested in moving into DB, however I have two kids aged 4 and 5, thus school is a big concern for me.
Do you know if it is difficult to get into this school? As this is a government school, thus I believe I can't apply directly to the school, and I must go thru the lucky draw system, correct? If I move there and they don't accept my children, then this would be a problem, aside from this school, is International schools the only option? Preferably I would like to capped $10k per child Per month on their tuition, thus I doubt international school would suits me, correct? Would you have a full list of school available current in DB? Million thanks for your help😊

As a parent, you should not be lazy to prepare for the P1 school selection.

DB is belong to Net 99 according to EDB classification. Net 99 include the following areas:
Peng Chau, Discovery Bay, Nim Shue Wan, Tai Pak Wan

There are only 2 primary schools in Net 99, one is SKH Wei Lun in DB, the other is Holy Family in Peng Chau.

Thanks for your feedback, I actually wanted to know the school names in DB other than Wei Lun school, to understand the school options and hopefully find a suitable school that matches my needs.

In DB, other than SKH Wei Lun, the other schools are Private.

DBIS, Discovery College, Discovery Mind and they are mainly English schools
