wanna ask if it is a must to attend the york briefing as it clashes with other interview on 7 nov am?what is the difference between york international and york 中英文kg?

You may send someone "else" to attend the briefing to get the slip for you.
You can fill the slip and submit it during interview (or send it to school general office if interview has already been done).
That slip can give the admission a bit advantageous over those who did not have one.

For differences between york international and york 中英文kg, as far as I know, the "international" one focuses on Mandarin and English as media of instruction while the other one is more localized that teachers speak Cantonese.

The interview methodologies are different, too. The international one will have two interviewers, one is for parent and the other is for kids in English. The Chinese/English kg section will focus on the kids, including pen usage test.

may i know if your kid is studying in york? does he or she likes the school?
as for parents interview, any idea about the questions?

My daughter is just recently transferred to this school's K1.Still undergoing adaption process so I am not so sure if she is going to like the new school. (Yup she feels unsecured and becomes emotional under such a new environment without parents)

The parent (no "s", you know what that means) interview asked some questions which were quite common in my opinion, such as how you know York, the reason you choose York, your kids' characteristics, how you spend your free time with your kids, etc.

International sector
Parent Interview: Cantonese (but I think they can do it in English for non-cantonese speakers)
Child Interview: English, by a NET teacher

Anglo-Chinese sector:
Child Interview: Cantonese

I mentioned the parent's part in previous thread so I would not repeat them here.
Kid's part might be a bit challenging.
‧Self-introduction (name, age, who came with the kid) - Both International (INT) and Anglo-Chinese (AC) sectors
‧Colour identification - INT
‧Fruit identification - INT
‧Transport identification + What the kid took to come to York - AC
‧Pen usage - AC

只要有位IN過小朋友啱心水就會填補上去咁囉

至於電話...呢間學校行政的確係幾混亂

我連續兩年都有GO THROUGH 過呢間學校都唔覺有報名時限
