Hi, my daughter will write the year 7 ESF entrance exam in a few weeks.  The exam includes a short piece of writing using the argument (narrative) genre.

Has anyone gone through the ESF year 7 exam before?  What is the expectation on this piece of writing?

Would also like to know what is the writing ability of an average year 6 student?  How many words would their writings typically have?

Writing ability: spectrum is broad;
Quality is irrelevant to the quantity.
