本人女兒現十五歲，現於band 1中學讀中四，成績中上。希望於明年到英國讀書，但時間上有些尷尬，所以希望各位能給予意見。本欲讀year 10打好基礎,但好像考GCSE時年齡比較大。
如明年讀1年GCSE課程，因少讀一年，考的科目少些，會否比較蝕底？
有agent建議明年讀sixth form,但怕追不上課程。
現不知如何是好，請各位能解答，謝謝！

考好成績一定辛苦，還有一年時間準備，用ㄧ年時間溫A level past paper,綱上有下載，咁去到不太辛苦

一年GCSE 課程少學校有,比較出名的係CSFC...
點解唔讀埋中5先去讀sixth form...基礎會打得好d

俾我選就會讀埋中5先去...想考試有把握...你要知道同一齊讀中6的人...一係已經考左GCSE..一係已經讀完DSE 中五....程度上會高過自己只係讀完DSE 中4

香港 band 1 女校讀完中四直入 sixth form 的我認識好幾個，人人都在 A level 考得好又入到 Russel Group 大學讀 law 噃

如果成績中上，個人思想行為獨立，經濟又許可，我會選讀college 一年的GCSE 課程。如女孩性格不夠成熟，成績中上可讀sixth form boarding school。

I have a similar question. my girl is studying Form 2 in a band 1 school (average result) and will be aged 14 by June 2016. should she go Year 9 or 10 in Sep 2016? If she goes Year 9, she will be one year behind her current classmates in HK as her current school also offers GCE A Level in Hk. but if she goes for Year 9, she can probably receive music scholarship at Headington. Is the music scholarship status important for U admission in future?

To supplement, music scholarship is not available for year 10 entry.

Agent幫我問咗幾間是申請讀中四的，學校的回覆都是說女兒年紀不適合而reject,建議讀year12或讀1年gcse再申請year12.只有兩間可申請，但都是比較貴的學校。現主力申請1年gcse學校！

Headington is definitely a good school, and Univeristy will consider people who is scholar first(that goes to your personal statement for uni entry) even starting in year 9 but with scholarship will prepare your daughter better.

Try Royal school or Wycliffe, both good in gcse 1 year course
