Can any mum share their experience of collecting the BRP with their kid upon arrival to UK from post office ? is it a smooth & simple process there ?

The process is simple and you just have to go to the post office as specified in the visa application and bring along the BRP letter and passport. They will ask questions on the postal code that your child will be living in UK, phone number and email address. The will then pass you the envelop with the BRP, which is like the UK identity card with the visa valid period.

They asked the postal code and phone number, is it need to answer with the same as the application form? Because the contact phone number may be not the same after arrival, and the actual address also may be not the same as application, because of the hall room is not confirmed at the moment of applying.

I provided the postal code of the boarding school. For phone number, I gave them the new UK phone number instead. Hope this help.

我陪呀女开学前一齐去郵局攞，俾左visa 封信后，佢问攞address proof, 我地俾左CAS 封copy 佢望一望就ok, 前后5駛5分钟！我唸攞BRP同 police registration 系2样嘢，学校安排左police officer 10/9 到學校做registration, 要2張相及£34.

如果我地唔需要去Post Office嘅話，因學校係registered centre, BRP會直接send去學校，咁係咪唔需要申請responsible adult呢？真係好混亂！

唔好意思，其實我睇清楚封UKVI信同UK Gov Policy (見圖），如果家長陪同18歲以下學生，係唔需要申請Responsible Adult㗎喎，如果冇家長或監護人陪同先要申請，會唔會郵局攪錯呢？

應該係各處鄉村各處例，以我所見：
1. 我女為倒，學校申請自己代替郵局做collection centre，我同亞女一齊去學校office，佢show passport學校職員就俾佢，問我一句係咪佢媽咪但冇睇我passport；
2. 同學早申請visa，所以要去郵局，忘記帶BRP信但亞媽一齊去，show passport就得；
3. 響郵局寄信時隔離counter所見：父母代子女攞（唔知點解個細路冇一齊，可能巳入宿舍？），冇BRP信，郵局職員話唔得，由我排隊到寄完信走都未搞點，唔知結果；
4. 朋友case：guardian同佢女一齊去，郵局話冇得walk in攞，要預約時間！

留意：同BRP一齊俾學生封信唔好丟，如果唔見咗BRP可以攞住封信去申請replacement。

今天攞住封信去郵局再問，職員解释了那句話，説由於我們是visitor, 所以就算我有兒子出世纸及CAS都無用，要這里住的legal guardian 或學校幫我取証，除非自己寫信去home office 申請做responsible adult。我話我巳等了4天無回覆，他叫我再寫信催。由於學校在我申請簽証後才寫信比家長可作collection point,所以我唯有明天同學校講叫佢地撹掂佢。

今天回學校，原來很多家長也取不了，學校明天統一帶學生去郵局領回，安樂晒！

最近好多case, 7成家長陪同去拿， ok，無問題
3成就因為家長不是英國人，所以要申請做responsible adult, 通常要3-5日才有回覆。所以我現在同一叫家長交比學校處理。因為他們可以代申請做responsible adult, 鴨仔團去拿brp, 可以順路做埋police registration

學校昨日回覆我話會有人幫所有嘅學生領BRP,仲叫我唔洗擔心，可能學校有權代領。

我個18歲以下小朋友由監護人於decision letter指定日期後陪同去郵局領BRP，但都取不到，話監護人都要上網申請做Responsible Adult先，而個permit根本都未到郵局。這個新措施真係有待改善！！！

I agree it's so messy this year.
When did your son arrive UK ? The BRP must be collected within 10 days upon arrival to UK.
It takes 5 working days to get authorized adult approval.

2號到左UK，約好監護人去搞，點知咁。即日網上申請，昨日收到email通知，話9/10會再正式出email給你，而個BRP就9/11先會ready。

學校都知新措施有些指示不清楚，故校方已親到郵局了解，職員話十天後或者遲幾日取都冇問題。

If the school distributes BRP to their students, then I guess OK.
But if the school bring their students to collect the BRP from Post office, then this is what I'm worrying about.

School just collected it on the 10th days from post office for my son. Nevertheless, I also heard that it's ok if the BRP is collected later than 10th day. I would still suggest you to check with school closely.

學校在我個仔入境後第26日才帶他去郵局取BRP，學校自己send email 去home office 指定老師做responsible adult，之後帶小朋友，passport同decision made 封信去郵局取

You are required to collect the BRP before the deadline as stated in the letter. You don't have to go to the school, just go to the post office.
