undergraduate解大學畢業，graduate是畢業及大學學位。。。或用職業冶療東華及理工，兩間是認可，但只有理工可註冊！

謝謝妳! 如果我想個女去加拿大讀大學, 學校有undergraduate & graduate students選擇, 我是否要選undergraduate 才對. sorry, 我還有些confuse..謝謝!

Graduate students = master or doctorate students.
Your daughter is undergraduate student.

Depends on what program you are studying.Science and engineering are more expensive than social science and language (because there will be science labs etc).
Different universities charges different too.
Ontario and BC seems to be generally more expensive (for similar programs).
Other provinces like Calgary or Nova Scotia may be less expensive.
You need to go to websites to check.
Use CAD20000 as a reference point (for foreign student). Some more some less.

Thanks a lot! Artie, I think CAD20000 is only for the school fee. For the Residential & meal etc - do you think CAD15000/year will be enough. Thanks!

Depends on how much you spend.
CAD15000 per year should be fine.

McGill rank top 3 within Canada. McGill and UT (probably UBC too) constantly rank a lot higher than HKU.
The tuition fees are usually calculated according to how many credits you take. If you major in science, engineering and architecture, the fees would be higher. There are a lot of lab time in science and engineering and a lot of studio time in architecture (and therefore much more resources allocated), and thus higher fees.

is it diff to get in UT? my friend's daughter applied maths there & she did not disclose how many marks she got in DSE. Just know that HKU has also gave offer to her but rejected by her.

some of my friend said UT is 易入難出，not sure it is a good choice for her or not.

易入難出 is a good description for huge universities like UT. The admission threshold is not high as they take a lot of freshman students. However people that are not able to keep up with school will drop out in senior years. UT is huge with students from a wide spectrum. Yet it still always rank top 3 within Canada and like I said rank higher than HKU. There must be reasons why they rank that high. My advice is: choose the right people to be your friends. Do not feel pressured by peers and stick to your goal.

I guess for student from HK should be no problem at subject like Maths there. Chinese always has advantages in Maths, especially the syllabus in HK is higher than Canada. It will be a piece of cake for us. (Do collect me if I'm wrong). Just how much time you put in the course will affect your result only.
