有冇人認識什麽是威爾斯醫院的影子計劃?

有冇其他醫療有關的義工計劃? Please advise.

shadow doctor，我個女升中五暑假参加過，四曰活動，其中包括跟住正式醫生出入手術室。
大女跟內科醫生睇outpatient，細女跟心臓科醫生，有得跟醫生入手術室睇微創手術。
好難忘嘅經驗，提醒生命的可貴。

好奇一問，參加計劃對考醫科有用？

在醫院 shadowing 或做過義工，不單單是對 MBBS，對其他的醫療科目的瞭解都一定增強，入不入這些科目就非一個必然關係。

重要是孩子有機會體驗什麼叫嚴肅丶認真和負責任的工作。不限理科生，也有文科生參加，他們一樣獲益良多，所有學生都值得去體驗一下。

真的要多謝醫院管理局這樣回報社區；但是逾來逾難參加了，我孩子去年參加聯合的計劃，好像已經是6個收1個了。

The invitation of applications are usually being posted in April or earlier. For 2015, most of the programs have started in July.
Last year UCH program had two intakes, with about 6 weeks for each, one started at late June and the second started in mid-July. The interview was in early May with a briefing for successful applicants in earlier June. The kids could enjoy a traveling allowance of HKD 70. They had been arranged to work, as a nuisance is closer to the truth, in wards. There also briefing about different jobs in the hospital.

No need for any reference letter, my son was advised or forced by his scout leader, who is a houseman at QMH, to join these programs.

Yes, UCH is United Christian Hospital. The child should check websites from time to time starting from February.
