As tibbar said, there are lots of options, depends on what you're looking for.

not saying I am an expert but i think you should consider things like language (cantonese/mandarin/english?), free play vs structured, how much you are willing to pay…. and as you might know, some playgroup will give you an advantage to get into certain kindergarten. So if you "targeted kindergarten" has an affiliated playgroup, you might wish to consider that. Even within 西環/中上環 there are many many….

You can consider Spring (Wan Chai) and MusicRings (Causeway Bay) playgroup. They have many good feedbacks from parents on facebook.

Little Pods (Tin Hau) is good too. But you need to check with their future opening plan, coz they are moving center.

On the Southern side of HK Island, Arts Plus lead the peers.

其實我八個月到就俾囡囡試下唔同既playgroup, 九個月開始就正式上. 不過有啲媽咪未必想咁早上, 都係睇下每個人既諗法
