I don't think a child joining at K2 will get priority like the other children who joined as K1. Tho I can't say chances are low, my children got into ESF with no priorities. It's all depends on your luck!

Switching to an ESF kindergarten at K2 will not increase the chances of entering an ESF primary school because the child will not have interview priority. The switch should be made before the start of the last term in K1 in order to qualify for the priority.

今年唔知有冇改，之前兩年，小朋友要在報名前已在ESF kinder完成至少兩個term至會有優先。一年係有3個term。一般應該要K1 term 2插班至有幫助。詳情最好問下英基

Thanks all! Yes, I guess whether have the chance for Interview, still depends on lucky. But from my understanding, there is only one ESF kinder in HK Island, but 4 primary schools, so it should be still have any chance? I don't how they exactly play the game...But just wondering if they still give priority to RC and DC interviews?

Yes, logically yes. Some parents who live in the island would send their kids to esf kindy and some parents use other people address for applying hk island esf primary even though the kids go to Kowloon side esf kindy , just don't underestimate the people who have priority . And due to catchment area , there are primary who has less application

Actually part of the west Kowloon belongs to HK ESF catchment zone
