Newbkmembter, I think Caterham is difficult than QE as I only apply two. My son just decided to go to the the UK in March but the Agent told me it is a good school and it is quite difficult to get in. Congra for both of us. Which year your daughter will go in?

Newbkmember, I mis-look your message. My son told me the exam is quite difficult for him. It took him 4 hours and 40 minutes for 5 subjects. My the interview is easy.

Hi Holoto,
Thanks for your kind advice. My girl target to join Y12 in Sept 2016. However, agent told us that we need to apply now as most of the entrance tests will be conducted in Nov. Is it a special case for your son to do the test in Mar? I'm also worried about the entrance tests. What level is the entrance test? Any preparation is required?

As my son did not plan to study in the UK, all of the sudden, he told me he wanted to study aboard.  I still need some time to accept it.
Which subjects your daughter are going to take?  My son is a science student.  He received the tests on English, Phy, Chem, Bio and Maths.  He told the duration of Maths was longer in Exam (2 hrs) but it is not very difficult.  A lot of the items is in the scope of S3. If possible you may tell your daughter to do some revision first as my son said he forgot some of them already.  The most difficult subject is Phy.  The other subjects are not difficult.

One more thing, after the test.  My son found out most of the items are come from IGCSE exam.  You may print some of the past paper for your daughter to practice. Hope it could help.

My son is not a special case to apply in March.  I just ask the agent whether there is any Year 12 vacancy.  She told me only Caterham.  She told me Caterham is quite selective so it may still have a place.  Then we try, luckily we got  a place.
But I really feel worried as I don't know what else I should prepare.  Do I need to ship something to him in advance as I can't go with him when his term starts. How much should I pay for him as pocket money?Could anyone share with me?
In fact, he never leaves me more than 2 weeks. Although I know he is 16 and needs to be independent, I can't stop worrying.

My friend recommend Heart of England to me. Before his son used this guardian service. May I ask how old is your son? When will your son go to Caterham? My son is going to Year 12. How about your son? Will they be classmates?
