ok, my cousin is a 16m old daughter (now attending little pods and musicring)
Below are my observations:

Little Pods:
It is a popular playgroup center linking to its kindergarten - Pods.
- Teachers are mostly Asian, speaking English and Mandarin in class, but speak Cantonese after lessons; Teachers are experienced because some of them are coming from Pods kindergarten.
- Course content is rich of daily life topics, and promoting happy learning experience
- Environment is nice and beautiful; classroom size is ~200sqf for a class of ~6 students, and so the class activities are more static oriented, like story telling and mini games.
- Facilities are good, having a mini playground with slides and toys corners. Props and story books are used in the class.
- Course fee is at market average

Musicrings:
It is an education center hosting English, Music playgroup; with recommendations from a few kindergartens and even SPCC, but no direct transfer relationship.
- Playgroup teachers are foreigners and experienced. Their teacher Daniel is a famous pg teacher
- Course content is also daily life related with basic music and phonics overlay, promoting quality education
- Environment is average; classroom size is ~300sqf for a class of ~5 students, so enough space to play body moving/dancing games
- No fancy facilities of slides and sizable toys corner like the other two centers, but rich in music instruments, e.g. mini violin, ukulele, grand piano. Props and story books are used in class.
- Course fee is at market average

Spring
It is an education center hosting Art, Music, Sport, English playgroups; no direct transfer relationship to any kindergartens, but with recommendations from a few celebrities.
- Playgroup teaching team has both Asian and foreigners, but relatively young and green in teaching experience.
- Each course is designed to address a particular topic, e.g. Sports, Art, and Music; therefore, you need to join multiple classes to get the all-round development
- Environment is so great and fancy; classroom size is big enough to have birthday party (so kids can easily lose attention to teacher)
- Facilities are beautiful and the most attractive among the 3 centers
- Course fee is one of the highest in market, >$400 per hour

Trial收費:

LittlePods - $300 per trial lesson

MusicRings- One free trial per student

Spring- No Trial

至於點選擇，我就睇性價比, i.e. "師資&教學質素" vs 學費。至於間中心點裝修我覺得係次要。

$400...我會選擇俾多少少可以上兩間有質素的playgroup，咁樣好似仲抵 =)

I think they haven't decided whether it is temporary or permanent. But one thing for sure is that it won't be at Pak Lok anymore. I am sure that they'll still try to run a playgroup. Just that whether it would be operated by Pods KG or a separate entity like Little Pods.

係呀, peas & pods環境師資都同little pods一樣好(不過係兩間獨立機構), 不過佢地無playgroup教語文同音樂, 行的主題路線生活化d

I think below is a good check-list for parents on HK island looking for playgroup. These are the most recommended centers on this forum and facebook

GeneralPlaygroup:

Steps (Tai Koo), ArtsPlus (Aberdeen), MILK(North Point)

SpecializedPlaygroup:

Springs(Wan Chai) - Cooking/Art playgroup

MusicRings(Causeway Bay) - English & Music playgroup

Woodland(Happy Valley) - Montessori Playgroup

yes, MusicRings is a great one, heard the most recommendations, and they are not that commercial as others. I think their music playgroup class can fit your needs.
