只是好奇一問、無論你的児女去哪一個国家也不緊要、同離港時相比、他/她的英語口音有改変嗎？　我特別想説明是大学、因為年紀不軽了。　細細個就過了去、当然不同了。　謝謝回応。

我老公係大學先出國讀，聽口音就唔會知佢在外國讀過書

。所以佢先咁堅持要最遲 Y10送個細女出國

唔係喎，佢當年讀大學時，都無乜香港同中國同學。可能佢語言能力比較弱，英文讀寫講真係都好左，但口音無咩改變。

我公司都唔少同事係大學先出去讀，口音真係仲好香港個種。女仔就應該會好少少，男仔就比較難改。不過就個個英文都好流利就真。
小朋友語言發展，去到高中已經差不多定形，所以如果想一口鬼佬口音，越早出國越好。

My hubby went to US university after completing secondary school in HK. He was not rich, so he could only choose a small town in remote area without HK and Chinese people. His accent changed a lot after graduation. His accent is near native (at least to the ears of HK people). So it depends on the language ability of individual person, and whether he/she strives to improve.

In my honest opinion, whether there is a change in accent varies from person to person.

One of my tutors started studying in the UK since Year 10 and came back to Hong Kong after graduated from uni. However, her accent has not changed much. She speaks English like every normal Hongkonger does.

On the other hand, another tutor of mine started studying in the UK since Year 12 and came back from uni graduation. She, however, speaks better English than the earlier. Her accent is more like a local in UK.

Therefore, I think whether one can speak better English(including better accent) depends on herself/himself but not the duration of staying overseas. If you interact with local students while studying aboard, you will learn their pronunciation and rhythm gradually. However, if you tend to interact with friends who come from HK and do not have pure English accent, you will come back with a unchanged accent.

P.S. After all, I am just a teen. Please kindly correct me if any mistakes are made.
