另外，個統計係講緊上年13/14年result, 唔係今年。
根據往年既討論，這分佈不是最終結果，只是Offer統計，亦未完全計入扣門成績。

MPS, i meant music primary school.
in my post i said i wiould not exhibit the placement results for aided schools, for the admission of aided schools is by points (relations) not by interviews!

i know in this forum lot of mums are concerned about the final placement results.
but i will say the no of offers is much more meaningful for it will tell the **average** capability that the sc graduates achieve in the application for dss/private schools.
the final placement is hinged on the preferences of the parents who made the final decision due to a nos of reason incl. family circumstance. they may also drop the dss/private offer to go for aided schools (e.g. siblings)
the placement results for aided school by no mean form any indication to graduate capabilities.

hi you should be an experienced sc parent. you replied to one of my previous post.
so, what do you feel about the stats that sc graduates achieved?
it looks to me the admission rate is even better than before, e.g. 88 nos of graduate got offer from sfa. it will count 10% assuming the usual 8xx nos of sc graduates. or, there were more nos of graduates starting from yr 2013/2014?
for the sharing session what more impressed me was how the parents managed the whole period of primary school applications.

For the stats, I think the ratio got into dgjs, dbspd and SPCC is similar to 4 to 5 years ago. Ex-st cat parents told me that usually 10 percentage of sc gets into these 3 schools.

其實每年學校到會叫家長自願性質報有offer學校，因為有些學生會有幾个offer,可以完全報哂俾學校。統計數字會大過以人頭計！

因為個統計係No of Offer。可以有好多學生考到有Offer，而到最後選擇其他學校入讀。舉個真實既extreme case，看看LH官方網頁的升學統計，上年三月統計可以有五十幾人考到ICQM，不過最後得一個人入讀。

St cat k3 約 300學生似乎 top tier 名校的 offer 約 9-10%

其實SC K3 有咁多畢業生，約600-700個（有錯請更正），咁學校有無announce 過究竟有幾多學生係有私小offer ? 因為個statistic只看到SC學生的總數收到的offers，咁可能1個小朋友有好幾個offers, 對嗎？所以從statistic 看不到究竟有幾多% SC K3 學生有私小offers!
又或是我理解錯了個statistic? 謝謝解答！

Correct. The figure is just for reference.
I believe SC parents know that even the figure is a bit impressive, but it does not mean that your kid must be one of them showing in the figure. All still need working hard and hope that the kid can be contributed to the figure next year.

assuming 800 nos of sc graduates, the admission rate to dbs is near 5% and that to top tier private schools like aps/sfa is near 10%.
for most of local kgs they might **not** have graduates go to dbs/dgs for every yrs.

the nos of offer gives you a feel of the **average** capabilities of the sc graduates.
the placement stat heavely involve parent preference hence it does not mean anything to you at all.

if sc really get 800 K3 student, the admission rate become not so impressive, just a bit similar to other kowloon tong kindergarten, say keen mind. I would not attribute the 1 to 2 % value added by SC, but SC has attracted a group of high tier parent and their child.

you are rite, sc is on par, if not better than, other kowloon tong kg.
however, if you talk about the stat posted by km, i could not agree with you.
first of all, km achieved high admission rate to those aided schools in which the students are admitted by points not by interviews.
for dss/private schools the admission rate by sc graduates look a lot promising, e.g. that for cky and aps, sfa. where sc achieved near 10% admission rate assuming 800 nos of graduates. if the nos of graduates is just about 600 as mentioned by other posters, it looks amazing to me.
the value added by sc is not about the hard knowledge they taught the students but the opportunities they offer to the student to speak up confidently.
sc students really excel in speaking.

it sounds to me the nos of graduate vary with yrs.
from previous posts in this forum, the nos of graduate reached 800. they counted it from the class photos in the book that sc published for its anniversary.
btw, are you sure the nos of graduates is 600 for your yr?

除非我屆k3收插班200人，否則應該去不到800人。加上兩邊校舍今年共24班，假設每班25-27人，其實總數也是6xx。

囡囡去年st cat 畢業，而家p1, 大約六月左右會填資料比學校講自己有咩offer 同揀邊間！所以之後扣門的資料不會有紀錄！
而同班同學當時所見，最普通的已經係將軍澳果幾間直資，其它考得更好！
又有同學仔已考到吾錯直資，但為咗自己細佬妹，再扣門區內最top 津小，收埋！連細佬妺都一舖過攪掂！開心死！
總括而言，我對st cat 考直私同扣門成績非常滿意，特別在此留言比大家參考！

if the nos of graduate is really about 6xx, then the admission rate to those top tier private school is really encouraging... e.g for sfa, 88/650(say) is about 13.5%

i really don't know why mums here are concerned more about the placement results than nos of offer.
do u really care what offers the other kids took at the end? it was heavily involved their own preference and circumstance.
nos of offer divided by the nos of graduates is the simple maths that show you the average success rate that sc graduates applied for a school.
it is a fair indicator to show sc graduates their capabilities or aptitude to a particular school.
given the fact that not all of the graduates would apply for a school, the actual success rate would only be higher than what sc disclosed.

其實身邊的同學仔全部入囇大家在EK講的心儀學校，至於係咪最top,見人見智！最重要見到大家媽媽也好努力，而SC又提供到良好的語言基礎，所以叩門成功率都好高！

其實教育局的網頁有公佈每級人數數字. 2013年9月的資料是K1有698人, K2有610人, k3有777人
