Can any parents share their kids experience in joining the residential program? The beds are all full in this year.

The infomation packet states that they program will normally finish at 9pm and the kids needs to return by 9am the next day. Will the kids be so tired asca commuter?

Did your kids enjoy the program?

My son was in the HK residential program 2 years ago. He told me they had lots of activities in the evenings and weekends. He said that meeting other people with similar minds was in fact more precious than the actual content of the classes. You child will be missing a lot of fun time as a commuter.

My son asks me about the CTY online. Do u have any experience on it?

CTY online is another experience. My son takes it for two years. He has to be very principled and makes it in his own pace. He has already completed 6 Math courses and is doing a science course now.

He has been to the day program for primary students years ago (the first cohort of CTY HK). And then he joined the residential program 2 years ago. He wants to try other things so, no, he did not join the program again. He did not join the CTY online either.

He must enjoy a lot! What part of the program does he find most rewarding?

Is the program well organized? Are the instructors well qualified?

He likes the content of the program which is academically inspiring and challenging. He also made a lot of friends there. I think the teachers are good and the programs are well organised.

He took science and engineering in the first year, cryptology in second year, computer science in third year, macroeconomics last year and will take fast paced high school chemistry this year. I think he would have taken all math and science programs in HK that he are interested in!!
