The website stated that the result letters will be send out around end Feb and early March.

As I will be out of town soon, i made a call and the lady said there isn't any clue when the result will be ready. Same question for the interviewers during play visit, they got no clue as well.

We also got offer. I had thought we had no chance as none of the assessor showed any interest to talk to or observe my child.

So perhaps it is an elimination process rather than selection process, that is, ensure there is no blunder.

I think a lot is about the parent. Kids might not talk, but the parent can tell the teacher and try to show that the kid well understands English and instructions. These tips are shared in previous post, and we found it useful.

My kid went and told the teacher what animal she got in her hand and can answer all questions. We still waiting for the letter. Maybe you are right, they are not looking for these type of kids.

My son was also talkative during the play visit and able to show his understanding of english commands given by the teacher. We've got the letter yesterday and it's am offer.

Some thread said one of their selection criteria is whether the child possessed a foreign passport, as at least 60% (not sure about the exact figure) of their students had to possessed a foreign passports (according to the govt's requirement). Is it true?

My hubby said maybe they will switch their attention to other candidates once they assured your child's basic understanding of english.

We don't hold foreign passports. In fact, we got the feeling that the teachers almost ignored the presence of our child that day. Also, we didn't talk much to our child that day (as someone did to show the child understand english) as our child often does not respond to us if he is undulged in the toys he is playing (even if he understands).

Of course, we are very happy, but the assessment process does puzzles me.

May be. I am having trouble choosing between esf and creative primary school kindergarten.

I worry about the lack of Chinese at esf, but I want my son to have a happy school life. Hence worry about the amount of homework at Local School!

waitlist meaning your child is really on the waitlist... depend on your waitlist no. thou
