Hi all, given that esf kindy tung chung will open this year, do you think admission will be easier in tsing yi or tung chung?

We are living in tsing yi right now but we dont mind moving to tung chung.. Also i went to the school tour in ty and feel that the campus is a bit small (i heard that wks is big). Anyone has comments?

Of course we havent been to the tung chung campus but given that it's new and it's in tung chung, i would imagine it's nicer..

Thought?

I would think of it this way, previously children living on Lantau Island would apply to Tsing Yi but now they could apply to Tung Chung instead, so the demand on Tsing Yi should be less and therefore easier to gain admission compared to previous years when Tung Chung was not yet established.

However, if you're asking whether Tsing Yi will be easier than Tung Chung, then no one really knows. Theoretically the population on Lantau Island is less than West Kowloon + West NT but then there is a higher concentration of expats on Lantau.

Good analysis. I think i will go for a school tour in tung chung when it becomes available and then decide.
