ESF 係有好多間，but you can only apply to the one in your catchment area. If you live on the South side, it's probably Bradbury unless you live in the Pokfulam area (in which case it may be Kennedy). Do check carefully as opposite streets may make a world of difference. For school zone detail refer to this: http://www.esf.edu.hk/sites/esf/files/ESF_School_Zone_150611.pdf
Anyhow for kindergarten ESF has only 1 on HK Island: Hillside, and getting into that one is as good as winning the lottery. How old is your child right now?

I see. Along with GSIS & Kellet, you may consider French International School. It is a small school but academically it is quite strong, but then again their Chinese should be a bit weak. Hong Kong International School has a pretty okay Chinese program too (their advanced level uses traditional instead of simplified text), beside it's reputation of being a party brat school, it is actually an academically strong institution.
If 英普 is your preference, I am surprised not to see Chinese International School on your list...
Another one you may consider is International Montessori School, which has one of the best IS Chinese programs, but you must buy into the Montessori method from the bottom of your heart. Their new campus is in Stanley, so it may be close to your area.
Note that SIS uses simplified chinese (簡體字) if you are not aware.
Having Cdn passport is more like a prerequisite instead of a priority now at CDNIS, given there are 350,000 Cdn citizens in HK and they may not even provide interview to non-Cdn citizens due to the sheer amount of applicants...

International Montessori School 冇嘜人討論因為new campus??
There are lots of NT or Kowloon side schools discussions, discussions about ESF schools (BUT barely any about Peak, Bradbury, Glenealy, or even Kennedy School). EK's discussions only represent a certain group of schools.
You may join a Facebook group called Hong Kong Schools which may have more discussions relevant to your search.

I can't see there is "a lot of discussions" about Clearwater bay school in NT. Last post was 2009, where u saw those discussions?

I think she meant Kowloon NT schools discussion in general within the EK Int'l School forum, and namely the non-expat areas. Clearwaterbay is more or less an expat area too, so more discussion in HK schools as well.

I see, you are looking for 龍校. True, if IMS has a high school, I probably would've chosen it already. Wonderful system and program. My son was Montessori trained and started in a Montessori playgroup since age 1. Tears my heart out to leave for a 龍校 myself just the past summer when he started Reception elsewhere.
Note though, for the confident parents with a academically strong child, IMS graduates do go to pretty good secondary IS. You may check their website "alumni" page. Half their population went to CIS, but do note that means about 10 kids, because the school is still young and student body not a huge number.

Yes, I didn't realize which schools need to apply from birth at the time and missed a few good ones, but if you are keen on GSIS, 10 months of age is not too too late and I'd apply anyway if I were you, as long as you are okay with the lack of Chinese teaching in school in lower years.
