I like Victoria as it trained the kids to be outgoing and presentable, good in English and encourage them to express themselves.

St Sacred Heart - only 1 reason - dragon school

Can give me some opinion how to choose? Many thanks!

I transferred my kid from Victoria to SH last year, and I'm happy with it. It really depends on personality, I feel that my daughter suits local school more (with instructions and discipline). However you'll expect her from speaking English to Cantonese after just 2 months, and she tends to be more feminine as her whole class is girl.

I got the same offer too. My girl is studying in Vic but got SH pm offer. Personally I really love Vic but SH is a dragon school. Really hard to decide.

And I also heard comments that SH is very demanding academically (esp in primary school). I also afraid I don't have that much time to coach my girl's study. Can any parent share more opinion?

my girl's personality will be totolly different cos of this decision.

Really hard to decide - I love Vic whole-heartedly of its language environment, she can communicate in English in sentence already now... and will chat up foreigners in the park

SH I think she will be more reserved.. and listen to 'order'.. good girl type and English level will not be as good orally...

Very big decision for me!

SH is indeed alot more busy than vic, she has homework everyday + book report every week + evi. I also heard primary is very demanding but I believe all local schools are similar. Be prepared with the hw as it's sometimes quite time consuming...

Hailey, your thought is EXACTLY the same as mine. I am really delighted to see her language and social ability after studying in Vic, but also afraid I'm making a big mistake for giving up a dragon school.

Vic 只要你有錢買bonds可優先升小，所以dragon school不是concern

I am in similar case with you,
Victoria - PM
SH - AM

And I love Vic very much becoz of its language environment and it's teaching method

But SH is a dragon school with its famous primary and secondary school

Really hard to choose

But I will prefer her to attend local primary and secondary school

If u are interested in Victoria primary, u can go ahead for victoria kinder. If u want to apply 直資/私立，就要睇你要邊類學校，著重語言就維記，考傳統就選進可攻，退可守的聖心。

請留意, 就算你有錢想買VSA Debenture, 都唔係想買就到, 係要抽喎.
加上Vic KG 有咁多Campus, VSA 唔係真係咁易入, 今年有好多人apply 都只係waiting.

其實我之前同你情況差不多, 囡囡本來讀緊維記PN, 可以直上K1, 不過我結果K1 時幫她轉了傳統半龍女校 (不過不是聖心)

I heard only 50% SH kinder promote to SH primary this year. They prefer to acquire more student from outside. You better check.

Even you buy the debenture, it's not guarantee to be promoted to VSA. And also the ranking for VSA is not high among IS

可上 vic website 睇下, 大約得30%左右上到維小, kornhill 果边只得 <20%, SH 直上小學的比率高很多

精英制係大勢所趨，kindergarten 有時收生都會失手，大家都係有心陪育自己小朋友的人，應該對自己同小朋友有信心，唔會跌在bottom

我了解今年大部份想升讀聖小私立的聖幼小朋友都能升讀

以我所往年過咗大抽奬都有一班學生放位，最後聖幼生都叩得返聖小，或其他嘉諾撒會學校
