I apply international and big b. actually we got offer for local pm last year. My baby naps at 2 so I dun let him go and want him to be big b this year. I think it is easy to get pm place.

Mine is dec mid 2012 baby. Last year I applied late actually after interview date. As they still have places, they give us chance to interview and offer us a pm place.

Did any mom having their interview in mandarin or cantonese? Mine was english all the way. 1st part was testing my son and 2nd part was asking questions to parents.

I applied local stream, and unluckily interview was conducted in English, parent -teacher interview was quite good but my son couldnt perform as well as he could if in cantonese because he couldnt understandthe what did the teacher say. I almost translated her instruction in cantonese all the way to my boy...sigh....

dont think i can get any offer although my son is big b.

I speak Cantonese to my son most of the time so I am surprised he knows the instructions in English. Only my helper speaks English to him. He can say his English name, point to mom, recognize colour and watermelon. I think the teacher is a bit crazy asking him to count one two three.... Also, the playground at entrance is observation area. I don't know how they do it because we when there without the label as registration has not started for my session. Also I suspect many have not gone to that area before the interview.

There were two story books on the desk. Did the teacher ask any questions about them? In my case, the teacher didnt do anything about them. But my son grabbed the book and wanted to read it. The teacher asked him to give it back to her....

My friend said it is quite good. Kids need to present stories to the class. Thru this kind of activity, kids become more confident and presentable.

I like their way of teaching... However do you know can the students go to local primary school smoothly? or their curriculum is mainly to international primary school?

My daughter goes there. The curriculum is not easy at all. I think it prepares children well for local schools but they also have Montessori teacher who teaches Montessori classes. They do a lot of presentation as well at early age which I like. Every Friday is also reading day and my daughter has to bring home books to read so she can read back to the teacher on Friday. They just announced info session for new site on jan 15 on their website www.pods.com.hk. I heard pods students and teachers will be there to explain the school. If you have time can sign up and check it out.

yes the school fee is $6800 x 10 months, book fee around $1600 whole year, uniform around $2000 for whole year, no other fees.

My son went to pre nursury local stream last year when he just turned 2, what I like the most is that the teachers are very caring and always communicate to parents, they call regularly to tell you about what happened in school. They can clearly point out what is the kids weaknesses and strengths and want to help them.

其實我吾知奌叫 commercial, pods 学費貴, 但冇乜雜費, 師生比例低, 我覺得物有所值, 第一年下午班得12,13 个学生, 老師照顧好好, 每星期有工作紙, 學期完有本 portfolio, 假期提供一些 short term course 如 easter workshop, winter camp, 自由參與

But my husband scream whenever he heard $6800/mth...

I like pods for small number of students in class and no misc fee...

If too big class, I afraid the teacher can't care your kids much...

其實讀得pods, 相信都唔會target響佢個primary school connection, 事實上佢堅無。

我都唔係target響私小或直資，自問屋企只屬中上，絕對唔係大富貴，個人都覺得寧願俾錢佢出去補習或者學野，多過每月交學費。加上我打算生兩個，權衡利弊，點諗都好似係津小實際啲，化算啲，畢竟由小學至大學，係長途賽，有排捱。

Pods學費6k幾好甘，我唔係target直資私小但都心動，原因係buy佢個學習系統，佢由資源以至教學理念都driven到小朋友既learning motivation, explore到佢地更多可能性，重思辨，強表達，呢樣野好可貴，亦都係我覺得學術以外，幼稚園最重要既功用，如果自小培養得好，對佢成長好有幫助，所以點解我唔target私校直資，都有諗過俾佢讀，可能我咁諗法有啲on居，唔知你地點睇呢。

I have ming wai and cannan offer...
and thinking if pods worth $6800... but only 10 months...

I want to know if the students from pods can be easily accept from other primary school.
But their teaching methods seems good... at least can train student up to read and think themselves...

we don't know about what primary schools the students might get in coz when pods opened in 2013, they only have N and K1 (13/14), now the K1 students are still in K2, there is no track records for primary allocation

仲諗緊，其實我也不算太了解他的課程，但發覺他們在PN階段已非常著重閱讀，閱讀計劃11月開始，我仔都跟到，可自己認讀短短句子，看來如果繼讀下去會有不錯效果。而且返學后看到他有幾大改變，有左自信，又成日自己大聲唱歌，所以我覺得我仔現看來fit到個課程又enjoy。不過問題始終PODS是幾新的學校，港島不是太多人識，將來考學校唔知會否蝕底。
